I have a 2017 ranger 900 xp and I have the soft doors with the Polaris heater and it definitely works excellent. I live in upstate New York and it can get very cold outside. The factory heater is expensive but well worth the money. You can literally plow snow in a tee shirt it works so good. I use the linear actuators to lift and angle the plow. I have had this for about 8 years now and that also works great. I have a winch but was afraid of the wear and tear of using it for the plow. The electric actuators are totally worth it. Just two separate wires to plug in at the plow and the quick attachment system makes it very simple to put on or take off.
That is awesome to hear! I have thought about getting a plow for it but have been pushing it off. I might have to start looking into it again. I agree completely, the heater is well worth the money! Thank you for sharing, I appreciate you.
You had a good head start on the inside temperature of the cab. At -7 outside, I'm surprised Ranger didn't buck you out the door and run back in the warm garage! 😀I have the 1000 Premium (not XP) with the canvas doors. I plan to get the heater installed before next winter.
@@JamesWhite-tg4kw so far they are holding up well. (About 6 months) It’s a little tricky to get them to line up and latch easily, but they keep you dry and out of the wind.
We paid over $1,000 for them in 2022 from the dealer when we purchased I’m sure they have went up since then. I have added links for your reference. - Polaris Ranger Lock & Ride Canvas Doors Front: amzn.to/48cdOOj - Polaris Ranger Lock & Ride Canvas Doors Rear:amzn.to/3tn9RYi

The roof did leak a small amount when it rained hard. I found that the seal on top was not good enough where the two pieces connect. Therefore, I cocked where the two pieces meet and put a black piece of waterproof patch and seal tape over top of the cocking for double protection. It also gave it a nice clean look, now I never have any issues with leaking.

2021 Polaris ranger crew xp1000 premium
Roof liner will help a lot too. I put some R20 batt insulation under my roof liner. Can't wait to try it this winter in -35 Canadian winter.
Heck yeah! That is a great idea… thanks for sharing!
Regular cab ranger you got to turn it off. Crew cab is a lot of area to heat up, impressive
It does a really good job. You even have to turn it off in the crew cab at times like in the late fall or early spring. Thank you for the comment!

It is definitely worth every penny! You will love it, just that little bit of warmth makes all the difference!
