I used to use tape on my spines and throughout the albums but over time the tape dries out! I used the best tape in my albums and it does dry out. I always use glue and run a brayer over my paper to keep flat. Thank you for your tutorial!!!
Thankyou for this. Would you explain why 65lb paper is the way to go? I noticed Kathy used 100lb paper. Also is it better to use 65lb or the 110lb paper for the base pages and the 110lb for the pockets and flips etc? A Kaisercraft decorative paper is lighter than 49 and market so would it make a difference what weight the base pages and pockets and flips have to be? I would love to know what weight for the best possible outcome. Thanks in advance.
I see this video is 4 years old and I have just found it, and YOU!! Now a subbie and will use this method today! Blessings from Betty in Ohio. Oh where do you live?
It just occurred to me that if we used a lighter weight cardstock and glued a piece of tyvek behind each hinge area and glued another sheet over it, that the cardstock pages will last longer through repeated use. Thoughts?
Hi Rosa. I wanted to add an extra page to my album so I made an extra gusset. I am assuming to my measurements that my book binding will be cut out at 3 11/16? Thanks for your videos! Learning so much
Hi, you will just add the gusset width to your binding, so if your gusset is 1/2" you add that. So your spine should be 3 1/2" instead of 3". Hope is clear. Thank you for following the tutorial. Hugs
Thank you! I was curious, I noticed you use a different spacing and size for the hinge pieces on other tutorials. Is there a reason for making the hinges different sizes? I am a newbie with this technique and I want to learn all I can =) Thanks for a super easy tutorial.
Hi Rosa Kelly, how are you? I am from Brazil and I do not speak English :(, could you please, make available the measures that you used to make the spine ???? it would help a lot !!! Thank you a strong hug from Brazil :)

How do you attach pages please?
Great tutorial, TFS
How do you attach your hinges to your chipboard? I have tried so many ways and not really satisfied with them. Thank you!!
You are fabulous, Rosa

Hii!! Can I use a GSM 250 card stock for the hinge?? Only that's available at my place
Gayathri Kilaru the thin cardstock is good for the hinges. I’m not sure which one is the 250 but just make sure is flexible 😊
@@RosaKellyScrapbooking thank you 🙂.. Can I use a normal chart paper for the hinge?

My measurement is just a wee bit bigger. Ok I'll try to make it fit on a 3 1/2 binding. Thank you for your quick response xo
Anne S is fine if is bigger, just center your hindge to your binding :) all good
thanks a million for all

Linda DeChow it just depends on much space you want between pages to add embellishments :)
Easy process...thanks for adding the measurements....will be making many of these! Thanks as well to Kathy Orta King ......Cheers, Carin
Hola soy de Chile 🇨🇱 y lastima que no se inglés podrías poner subtitulo por favor gracias un abrazo 🤗
Wish you worked with the Tonic studios memory book maker dies and make a tutorial bc they don't explain like you do!
So if my album is 8x8 my inside pages should be about 7 1/2 and should make my hinge 8x 7 1/4 correct.
Loving 2 Craft your hinge should be exactly this one. Your page would be 7 1/2 tall by 7 wide.
Hi Rosa Kelly, how are you?

Thank you a strong hug from Brazil :)
Rebecca Matos I will add them on the description box. Thank you for watching!
Ok I added it :)
Too complicated for a new person
Noela Hicks absolutely not. Her tutorials are quite easy. You just don't understand, so go watch beginners videos
Hidden hidge method? Should be hinge.
Wasting a lot of card stock
What do you call that board and that cutter?
The white one is a Score Board by Martha Stewart and the other is a Fiskars paper trimmer.
