@@dcsx-files8689 I just watched this again and -- thanks for making it! As I just posted on the VPForce discord channel, I am #9 in line for one and just paid the invoice a few minutes ago. I'm pretty excited, and your vid isn't helping!
Just got my rhino few days ago. Have you tried xpforce with msfs yet? Wonder what you think of it for things like gliders until we get walmis proper software :)
Congrats, you will enjoy it pretty much. About MSFS, i'm actually rarely touching it. Only the helicopter update brought me back. Most of the time i'm in DCS.
Great demonstration! Maybe you can help me with something. I've recently got an FFB joystick. I have some idea how a yoke/stick of the real airplane behaves in different circumstances but unfortunately I don't know how should a helicopter stick feel. Is it simply some friction in the movement without any resistance force and when you trim the stick gets fixed in a certain position? Does it work like that? That's what I came up with after watching your video. 🙂
Maybe this video helps: ruclips.net/video/2kC3tWzwD_A/видео.html This is what you can replicate 1:1 in DCS and the Mi-24. You should feel resistance when the motor emulated springs are active and it should feel much lighter during holding down trim release. With trimming you are basically defining a "new center" for the spring effect. There is some friction or mechanical resistance IRL for sure, but in the end it's your personal preference. I always have a slight friction/damping effect set because it adds to the immersion.
I have the Virpil stick with a dry clutch, all you have to do is we move the springs and the stick stays wherever you let go of it. Agree it's fantastic thing to have. Although I don't have the force feedback that doesn't bother me so much since I have a motion Sim chair.
It is nearly my turn to buy my Rhino and need to know if my VKB Modern Combat Grip will work with the base? It looks like this is the exact same setup so could you please tell me what adaptor is required? My VKB grip has 3 short pins at the base if it helps.
Sorry, my grip is from Virpil. But Walmis offers adapter solutions for all kinds of possible grips. Best place for more info would be the VPforce discord.
You can, by using a tool called XP Force. It takes telemetry data and converts them into FFB effects. I'm personally using a Jetseat pad and Simshakers for Aviators. This does the same thing but for your "whole body". In my opinion much more realistic and immersive than a shaking stick only. However, i'm much much more flying in DCS. MSFS lacks to many details, especially in the flight models...
I will wait the however many years i need to get mine. I fly with a Puma right now, this looks absolutely amazing.
Totally worth the wait. It's not only about the FFB, it's also the most precise stick i've ever had.
The combination of gloves and socks is epic 😁
psst, they are called "snocks" 😉

Nice stick. I assume you are VR. Motion and/or butt-kickers next :)
I already have a Jetseat with Simshaker for Aviators.

This plugin works on others ffb sticks like the Microsoft sidewinder 2?
It's not a plugin, it's the control software of this particular FFB stick, the VPForce Rhino.
A-MA-ZING.

Is this a payware Seattle?
It's called "Seattle Landmarks".
Are you getting vibration/ffb in the sticks from the rotors?
