- This exclusive clip of Apple TV+'s The Long Way Up gives you a harrowing look at Charley Boorman's terrible motorcycle accident in the early stages of planning for the South American trip that is the thrust of the series. Even though he almost died, nothing could stop Boorman from getting back on the bike, and the accident ultimately inspired Ewan McGreggor to reconnect with his best friend and take another whirlwind motorcycle trip.
Long Way Up premieres Friday, Sept. 18 on Apple TV+.

Got my third crash the other day. Got cut off by an old man that wasn't paying attention. Hit the front side of his car. My arms bent the handlebars and then I flew over his car. Just a sour shoulder.
After a couple of hours at the emergencies, went home. Took my other bike out and started taking it appart...to clean the carburators to see if I could start it after a year sitting.
My mom saw this, looked at me pissed!
I said: you made me real solid!
She answered: ...and stupid! You better kill yourself next time or I'll finish you off!

I just saw the whole thing! I am disappointed! stared very good with full episodes of actual exploring especially the Patagonia, Bolivia, Peru, but after Peru they seem tired and in hurry to finished the task.! especially in Mexico , Their main focus was the danger of the cartels, and how to get the hell out of mexico ASAP, they show very little of they country, the food, and their people..Half of the series is real good, the second half is just ok..!

Their first bike trips were pure and very cool . Personally I’m a motor head . Not a plug 🔌/ voltage head . Never will be .

FAILURE- they probably didn’t ride more than half the way on those electric bikes. Went from adventure film to electric-political-propaganda. So disappointed.
Electric bikes have been viable and more than capable of such journeys for over a decade now.
Ffs, my tiny ass mother rode to broken hill and the great aus bite, starting from the QLD Border, on an electric bike about 6 years ago.
