Netflix is definitely exposing us to other culture through dramas ect. I like it, growing up here in the USA I remember watching many Asian dramas with my dad and to tell you the truth we didn’t know if it was Korean or Chinese...( when you’re not expose to a culture/ different nationalities, this tend to happen. Like most people from other continents think all Latinos are Mexicans, all Americans are white, well unfortunately for us all Asians are Chinese) im glad that with the internet now we have more exposure to other cultures/ countries and doing so can learn and not come of as been rude or stupid.
I watch chinese & koreans Dramas. My daughter will always ask is that Korean or Chinese as she cannot differentiate the different languages yet. She will soon being Malaysian😄
American dramas have the main leads kiss like in the second episode, but in Kdramas they build up to the little moments like holding hands. It takes like half the season for the leads to hold hands and it makes you feel so happy that it finally happened. So that’s why I find Kdramas more intriguing and more of a romance drama.
@@hullmees666 you start by holding hands and then take your time to progress. But I can see how you or others would prefer a faster approach. Just not my thing.
The first one is not fried rice, it’s a Turkish side dish made with yoghurt😂 And the man is a Turkish cook who is making this kind of videos, his name is CZN Burak
just to add to this: speaking after tasting garlic both in Korea and Europe and Turkey, the Garlic in Korea is very bland tasting so it makes sense to add a lot. On the other hand, if it's grown well, just a few tiny little cloves will kill an entire pot of food if you aren't measured enough. ^_^
Iss pyar ko kya naam doon was the only indian drama i watched and tho it was cringy a lot😅i still did enjoy it for some reason it was a popular drama which many recommend it to me and i dont regret.
I have been watching Kdramas since I was 9 and that was 10 yrs ago, and honestly it helped me appreciate other people and their cultures. Being African, there is a stigma against Asia in general and a lot of ignorance towards it, and going into kdramas which led me to kpop courtesy of my mom ( she introduced them to me cause she looooveeess Asian dramas and is a huge EXO fan) I learnt that it was wrong. I apologise as I did do quite a few ignorant things as a child, and I have come to love the Korean culture and other cultures in general. Each culture has it's own beautiful uniqueness whether we understand it or not, and we should learn to appreciate that. Love you guys by the way💕
Well, 'nerd' has changed over the years. Nerd could mean someone into previously uncool things such as: anime, comic books, video games, cosplay, drawing, writing, and reading- amongst other things. It really depends on the context though.
Where I come from, that was what "geek" referred to. A nerd was typically an intelligent and socially awkward person. Could usually be seen wearing thick glasses and a pocket protector. Was usually into computers, science fiction, and fantasy.
It really depends on the context. For me nerd is mostly someone who is into sth like computer nerd, sports nerd etc. but it often still affects negatively.
They didn't understand the soju one. They started to talk about drinking behaviours and such, without realising that for we westerners soju tastes the same as cologne.
Hi. I love this channel and you always amuse me with your funny comments. Yes, Kdramas are brilliant. I am 65yr old grandma from New Zealand and I have canceled television in my house. I have spent the last four years binge watching KDramas and Chinese dramas. I love the politeness, the healthy story lines. They are not full of excess sex scenes, rude swearing, excessive blood scenes, insane and boring car chases, and over the top violence that many American or other English speaking countries have in their programs. I thank you Korea for the magnificent quality of your dramas especially the beautiful scenery and costumes in your historical dramas. Kind regards from New Zealand.
K-dramas are so addictive because you do get to learn tiny bits and pieces about Korean culture. And usually they are not so explicit with there ''love'' scenes. It's more romantic and light for the most part. It's like your heart is getting a tender hug.
I started watching everything related to Korea when I accidentally caught Arirang TV on our satellite in early 2000s. When Nonstop 4 hit the screen, I got hooked. As a young kid, I was curious and wanted to know more about the culture. That curiosity waned about 8 years ago lol. Still love Korean culture :)
I spent most of lock down thinking I'd watched everything on Netflix and then I realised such things as kdramas. Let me tell it cure my boredom by A LOT.
I love Kdramas, my family will come into my room and I'll either be yelling, laughing, crying, or all of the above..they learned to just leave me be 😂😂
I have met so many koreaboo's who have come to Korea, expecting it to be like a Kdrama and expect the men to be like the prince in the dramas the watched, only to have all their expectations absolutely destroyed
every single thing about kdramas was true. and can we talk about how everyone is literally talking about the kdrama memes in the comment section??i dont blame them though, k dramas are perfect
I like Korean rom-coms the best. “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” and “True Beauty” are some of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen. I used to watch American sitcoms, which are supposed to be funny, but they never make me laugh. Some commercials are funnier.
I haven’t watched any k-dramas (yet), but I’ve lately gotten into c-dramas. I really like that I can watch with my teenaged daughters (unlike 99% of American dramas).
