  • Wake up to fresher YOUNGER looking skin overnight. This night cream is perfect for you mature, over 50 skin. In this video I do a full product review of the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream. This is my favourite night cream for dry, very dry and dull mature skin. This nighttime skincare product completely RESCUED my skin when I needed it most. After all, waking up to baby soft, smoother, soothed and more youthful looking skin is the goal. This super-charged night cream is ideal for women over 50 with dry, irritated skin caused by aging, cold dry winter air, heating or dry desert climates.
    This night cream delivers a more youthful appearance as it effectively moisturises your skin with a combination of ingredients that rehydrate and seal in the moisture. It's a winner for me and fantastic for aging mature skin. Ideally this should be used with the top ANTI-AGING skincare products that women over 50 should include as part of an anti-aging skincare routine.

    I love this cream , I also have combo skin, and I’m 57. Felt sticky at first ,however like you , the results from the very first application were so good , I was hooked . I now know how to warm the cream up first, and wait a wee while before jumping into bed. I highly recommend this cream 🌸

      I have to tell you Tracey that I almost ran out of this cream and nearly went into panic mode 🤣 It really is amazing. Quite often I mix it with a peptide cream just to take some of the 'sticky edge' off it but the results are fabulous. Have a great weekend 🌸

    I'm 28 and I've got really dry skin. I've been using a sample of the magic night cream for the last week and I've been on the fence about the thick and balmy texture of the product. It makes it difficult to spread on my face. Having said that, my skin does look great in the morning. So I'm going to buy it.
    Your review was fantastic! Thank you!

      Hi Shivangi. I totally get what you mean about the texture. I usually mix it with a light peptide cream or warm it up onto the back of my hand so that it starts to kind of melt and then press it and warm it into my skin. I leave it at least 20mins before I hit bed so that it doesn’t feel sticky on my pillow. I wake up glowing. 🌸💕

    Thank you for the informative video. Your skin is beautiful without makeup. This product I must look at and get a sample size to use. I dont use any retinol or retina on my face but what I have been using is derm e microdermarbrasion scrub in the shower twice a week. Went to the beauticans she asked what I was using on my face as skin is glowing and no open pores. I advised derm e microdermarbrasion scrub it works and its a simple routine. My dermatologist advised me years ago. Use cleaner sunscreen scrub moisturers for your skin type and a healthy lifestyle. I dont have perfect skin but I have good outlook on life. Take Care.🤩🌻💖

      Hi Rita. Thanks so much for sharing your skincare routine. Keeping it simple is the best way! I don't use a scrub these days. My skin is a little delicate so I use an AHA instead. You are so right that you cannot underestimate the impact of a healthy lifestyle on skin along with a good outlook and a smile as our best accessory. Wishing you a fabulous day. Keep safe hun. 💖🌸

    What do you recommend for a day moisturizer as I use retin-a also?

    • @TheBeautyProtocole
      @TheBeautyProtocole  3 года назад +2

      Hi Rhonda. That’s a good question. Generally I change my day moisturiser depending on the time of year (lighter in summer and more nourishing in winter). Unlike my night cream I don’t stick to one brand though I have also tried the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream (much lighter than the night cream) and it’s a very nice product. Honestly, as you are using the most significant anti-aging product (Retin A) I would just use whatever you love that makes your skin feel comfortable and look hydrated during the day. That could be anything from Nivea or The Ordinary to Drunk Elephant or Charlotte Tilbury. Add sunscreen to your routine and your done. Xx

    Hi, I’m 50 and I just saw this video as I have purchased it and waiting for it to arrive. I’m in Australia and have always looked after my skin but I just feel I need a bit more. Thank you for explaining how long to let in soak in to before bed time as I didn’t want the sticky pillowcases either. I was wondering, do you put the magic elixir on before the night cream or do you think that might be too much? Your skin looks amazing by the way. 😊

      Hi there. Thanks so much for watching my video 😊...No I don't use the magic elixir hun. If its a serum then using it underneath the cream should be absolutely fine. Are you using a high strength Retinol product? This is a really important part of your skincare routine....I also mix a little Drunk Elephant F-Balm with my CT Night Cream. This helps to reduce any stickiness and my skin gets a lovely hydration boost at the same time. 🌸💖

    So glad I just found your channel. I’ve got to try this night cream. Is this ok to use after my Trention at night?

    • @TheBeautyProtocole
      @TheBeautyProtocole  3 года назад +3

      That's so sweet Lisa. Thank you. This is PERFECT to use after your Tretinoin. High powered Vitamin A products like Tretinoin dry the skin so using a good moisturiser when the skin is repairing itself overnight is important. The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream is nourishing and soothing but be mindful of the texture. That's why I mix it with a little Drunk Elephant F Balm and then I massage it in. My skin loves me for it. xx

      Omg sheena I had to try this after viewing your review, it arrived yesterday and tried it last night. I brought the 15ml size to try. I’m 58 using retin a cream and have really dry skin. Did what you recommended put it on 30 minutes before bed and didn’t find it over tacky at all, it absorbed into my skin really well. Love the smell and silky feel. Woke up this morning to noticeably softer skin after one night. I look forward to continued use. I rang a Sephora store In Melbourne to ask if they could get this product in and they said they don’t stock it in Australia but hinted that they may be getting Charlotte tilbury skincare in, so I will keep checking and let u know if and when this happens.
      Just a quick question I am going to try the niod copper peptides- alternating nights with tretinoin, do you think I could use the magic night cream with the copper peptides?
      Once again thank you for this recommendation and videos.
      Next thing to try is the gel nails.

      @@lisaring2729 Hi Lisa. That is fantastic news that you love the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream too. Wouldn't it be great if Sephora Australia started to stock the brand. Hopefully that means NZ will too. Please do let me know when it lands there. 👏👏
      Shoot Lisa...Now I want to try the Niod Copper Peptide. Yes I would use the Niod as the first step after cleansing then apply the night cream.
      With the Gel Nails...I'm about to go and do mine....Just as a note, the deeper or richer colours require less layers. 👍🏻
      Enjoy your day hun. xx

    I would have loved this cream, but just tried the night cream sample. It tightened my face. Caused slight burning sensation and redness. So I’m afraid with my sensitive skin, I’ll be avoiding. Love some of her products but the creams are a pass. Will have to keep looking.

    I’m 31 but my skins pores are so huge. I break out occasionally and I tend to have tons of black heads by my chin. I don’t use anything to scrub my face besides natural products I made myself at home like raw honey and sea salt and it works well with my sensitive skin.. but what do you recommend that I use to make my face glow like yours? I want to take care of my skin even more now since your skin has inspired me to take it to the next level in skin care. I also don’t use sunscreen because I am normally inside all day and live in a rainy cold weather state. Is it necessary to use it? I appreciate you explaining everything in this video!

    • @TheBeautyProtocole
      @TheBeautyProtocole  2 года назад +1

      Hi Crystal. Thanks so much for your comment. I guess you have oily skin on the forehead, nose and chin area? The good news is that if you have oily skin you will generally age better than those with very dry skin.
      Regarding sunscreen, I totally understand your point about working indoors and being in a rainy, cold climate.
      Also I am sure that layering an extra product on your skin doesn't appeal when you have concerns about large pores.
      I never use any physical scrub on my face but instead use a prescription retinoid (tretinoin) and an alpha hydroxy acid like (glycolic acid). These really help to treat large pores.
      Basically you can unclog them, minimise them, and make your pores look a lot less obvious.
      The AHAs or BHAs are THE most fantastic thing to unclog pores. Retinoids increase your skin's collagen production, while also decreasing its oil production. This leads to smoother skin, fewer breakouts and blackheads, and tighter pores.
      To preserve your skin from UV aging, when you're outside you can use an oil free sunscreen.🌸🌸

      @@TheBeautyProtocole I got a sample of this the other day from Mecca after I saw your video but unfortunately I didn't like it, mainly for the strong scent. I don't like heavily fragrant skincare and dermatologists recommend against it. I'm going to go back to skii moisturiser, I used it 10 years ago and found it superior for hydration especially when travelling, on planes etc. I just hope it still works for me 🤔

      @@leamoker I'm so pleased you got a sample. I don't even notice the scent anymore with this product but that is a great point. I need to mention the smell of products because it's so subjective and really effects how much people like a product. Funnily enough I was sent a product to try and I literally couldn't use it as the scent was awful. Even hubby didn't want to use it 🤣🤣Good luck with the SKII moisturiser. @@leamoker I totally get what you mean. I only use Tretinoin around 4days of the week. My skin gets what I call 'scuffing'...You know when you put foundation on and it appears to flake in areas. I've been using an amazing wipe on liquid Glycolic to remove the dry skin. The next morning my skin is as smooth as a silk.
