A deservedly worshipped season. By the way the bubble wrap banter which has gone on for years is unfair as upon airing hardly anyone even knew that bubblewrap existed. Most viewers, especially young viewers did not make any association.
I watched through the entire Baker era last summer, and he’s still my favourite classic Doctor. Season 12 is not quite as exceptional as 13 and 14, but it’s a rock solid run of stories, here’s my ranking: 1. Genesis Of The Daleks 10/10 (It has it’s reputation for a reason, a genuine masterpiece) 2. Robot 9/10 (one of the most underrated and entertaining stories of Baker’s era) 3. The Ark In Space 8/10 (it’s a really well made but ultimately quite simple story, it doesn’t majorly push the boat out) 4. The Sontaran Experiment 7/10 (a decent supplement to Ark In Space rather than being its own thing) 5. Revenge Of The Cybermen 4/10 (don’t hate this one, but it’s quite boring and the first dud of the era)

Genesis of the daleks is still the best dalek story of all time and second story of the time lord victorious
