    Takeaways from the Osimhen saga:
    • Osimhen should re-evaluate some of the people in his circle
    • This year's AFCON & Last season at Napoli don't justify €130m
    • Going on loan is such a humbling experience for someone who didn't want one initially.

Got to say Osimhen's agents have played a blinder, here.
He's still in Europe, so he's still in the shop window for big clubs in the Europa.
    He's getting his full wage.
He's in a league where he's undoubtedly the best player, so he's not going to have anything like the difficulty he'd have had at Chelsea.
Top Manager to learn from in Jose.
Massively reduced release clause, so when he inevitably becomes the top scorer in the league, plenty of clubs will actually be able to afford him.
Nobody has to take a risk, dropping insane fees on him, just in case that 22/23 campaign was a fluke.
Honestly, outside of Napoli acting like a sane club and accepting the PSG offer at the start of the summer, I'm not sure this could have worked out much better, considering the stupidity that's gone down in Naples, since.

It is not the kind of move you expect from a club that claims to prioritize you. There is no way Osimehn would have been happy even if he signed for Chelsea because the body language was all wrong. The conditions attached to the deal equally screamed the level of uncertainty they had concerning him. I don't know where you folks get your info, but FR clarified that Napoli frustrated the move to Saudi Arabia. The level of disrespect, even downright arrogance from Chelsea fans, has also been quite jarring. If Osimhen made any mistake, it was signing a new contract with Napoli.

what is certain under the current system at Chelsea is if you perform well, you will be rewarded for it. Palmer and Jackson are proof of it with their new contracts. Other players have it in their contracts that UCL qualification comes with a bump in wages. Chelsea cannot be paying silly wages when they are not in the UCL. The contract offered by Chelsea to Osimhen was HEAVILY incentivized. A UCL qualification and steady supply of goals in the league would have won Osimhen a significant base salary bump and a mega bonus. (I also don't understand why they couldn't give him a significant sign on fee to compensate for the low base wages while maintaining their wage structure🤷‍♂). Osimhen would have proven his worth in the hardest league to flourish in. He would have contributed significantly and gotten his justified rewards. I mean he's injury prone and the EPL is very physically demanding. Personally, I'd feel like a thief if someone was paying me massively for doing nothing. If the Chelsea contract wasn't adequate for him, and Chelsea wouldn't budge, then his agent should have put a clause for a MASSIVE pay bump if Chelsea qualified for the UCL. Then he would have played his way to those wages. It's one thing to be top scorer in the Serie A, it's another to repeat the feat in the EPL. Ask Lukaku ( a consistent Serie A bulldozer)...he never managed it in the EPL (although his EPL record is actually quite impressive) and he's a far...FAR more proven striker than Osimhen.

Most of you blaming Osimhen don't know what went on. Napoli never wanted him to play for a club they felt would rival them in Europe. They could have dropped the asking fee they offered PSG but they turned it down. They agreed with Al Ahly but they renegotiated after agreeing to an initial offer with the Saudis. Chelsea didn't want to pay him as high as Galatasaray will be doing and they dragged their feet with the loan terms.
The good thing is that he is out of Napoli and PSG can approach him in January.

Players have the leverage when they are at their peak. Never allow sentiment to cover your judgments . Victor osiemeh made a big mistake of signing with his club, not knowing that the Napoli is only after Napolis' interest. Lesson to be learned . This club doesn't have your best interest at heart.

I guess that if Chelsea had proposed 9M as salary to Asimhen, he would have accepted. So I am wondering about how much did Chelsea propose. It would be helpful to know in order to understand.

Not wages that get you trophies tbh. I get Chelsea wage structure but the problem is you can't catch the others or end anywhere good in the league without paying the money. Chelsea owners ain't serious about winning it's about making money.
