I recently found out SS does pair well with AF too. AF tends to pressure the back line, allowing SS space (and time) to dribble and pick out passes. I also notice that my sometimes AF tends to go wide to chase the ball in behind, which make space for SS to sneak into the middle and score some tap-ins.
Nice video : ) Maybe Mezzala next? I noticed you use this role a lot, so I tried it as well in several systems and players trying to fulfill it almost always had terrible scores like 6.3 even when we were winning and were worst on the pitch.
I have found that in a 4-2-3-1 its really nice to go with DLP-D and BBM in the Center and AM-A in the Number 10 Role against smaller Teams, while changing into two DM-S and a SS against bigger Teams. The Shadow Striker Role is brilliant for smooth Transitions in this Fm, while i still prefere the AM-A and BBM combination against Teams that defend deep.
I was surprised with how many key passes my SS(a) created when experimenting with the role. It was almost as if they were better at playmaking than APs were. Maybe it was the way their movement was coded into the game, or how teammates interacted with them.
its because a playmaker will slow the play down which could mean that their option to then pass isnt as key its just a simple pass. a shadow striker is all about the fast movement of the ball and himself. so they will be constantly running doing passes that will lead to goals just wont be the 50+ yard through ball it will be more like a short pass along goal or out to winger etc
This bust the net video intro was the best. Bring it back.
A guide for each role would be amazing
Good video. Make more of this for other positions

Very informative. Thank you.
hey have you ever tried to emulate frankfurt magical triangle tactics in fm? if not please try to explain it
Hello Rashidi.
Would you consider this a goode midfield/attack combination?
AMR - AP(s)
AMC - AM(s)
AMCL - SS
STCR - DLF(a)
Thanks for your time!
What is Messi's position now when simulated in FM? I reckon Shadow Striker
If I play 2 shadow strikers(left and right), would they explore the half space like mancity?
Can you use a shadowstriker with a complete forward on attack duty ?
@bustthenet could you do one for the inside forward please.
Another great video!
