I don't know why Mazda messed it up for the US and gave us the lower trim. It should've definitely been the top trim like you have in Canada. Thanks for watching!
The best thing about the Mazda's is no CVT. Also, everyone I know who has a Mazda loves it and tell me that it is the best car they have owned...drives like a luxury car and they have not had any mechanical issues. Great review. Thanks.
In Canada the Meridian is the top trim like the Premium plus but with the wheels and graphics for $2500CAD more, too much imoo. Like you said, better buy the smaller wheels seperatly and get the Premium plus (GT w/turbo in Canada)
At least Mazda Canada got the trim level option correct. For the $2500, Im getting a better set of wheels and tires! For $350, you can get an aftermarket 1.5" lift which looks perfect for the Meridian. The suspension does need to dramatically need to be soften though. Thanks for watching and thanks for the info regarding the Canada market!
In Canada we have the 3 models with the Meridien actually coming with a bevy of features that aren't even listed on their website or build specs. Not sure why they're not updating it to reflect it but if you've ever driven one you'd see it's absolutely worth the price in the true north.
Mazda recently let me borrow a 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus and the whole time I was frustrated that Mazda didn't use that trim as the base for it, in the US lol. The vented seats and the 360 degree camera were so nice to have in the premium plus that the meridian doesn't offer. It should've been a package and not a trim.
In 2024 in Canada the Meridian is the top trim . 360 Camera , Heated and cooling seats Every single option is on the Canadian Merdian

Thanks for watching! The standard auto is definitely nice to have. Sometimes the shifting is a little on the slow side but it’s not too bad.
cylinder deactivation ?
Not on this one because it is the turbo model.
