@@RonFnf983 interesting fact about this track, it's the only MJ track not based on an existing song. Sure it samples Peter Piper by Run DMC, but it's not based on any song.
Carnival Night is based on Jam, Ice Cap is based on Hard Times (by The Jetzons), the ending theme is based on Stranger in Moscow (song was written in 1993), and Knuckles' theme is based on Blood on the Dance Floor.
@@RonFnf983bro..
I used to think that instead of "Go go go," the DAC said "Go Robo." It made sense to me that the Launch Base music would support Robotnik.
After all, it is his base.
I thought it said "Go Sega!"
Yea turns out run-dmc are big robotnik fans
my brother and i always thought it was "go ketchup" 😭😭
I thought it said go sonic go ngl
I never realized how complex, and detailed the creation of these songs were. This is literally multiple songs combined into 1 track.
that DAC is so damn busy in this song.
*GO GO GO*
@@GiordanDiodato Fine, i'm leaving...
You can completely tell where Sonic 3 ended and MJ's influence on the sound track died in the & knuckles portion because we don't get any more near voice clips. Like "Go go go!" Etc that were always so amazing as a kid.
@Nicolás Coro Apparently they sampled it from Run-DMC
ya since its trying to play the drums and the GO
The PSG hi-hat goes all out here
No My Hat :(

Launch Base: Sad Remix.
I remember when I didn’t plug my headphones in far enough and I only heard a few channels
Same
Wait wat
Launch Base is so underapreciated.
I love it 'cause it's bizarre.
Because it's not really the final zone.
Define under appreciated?
@@Desmaad
You said it! The funny b word!
I really felt like it was because it was the launch of one of the best death 🥚 's
That DAC is going ham
Channel 1 is so smooth sounding!
1:28-1:59 so sad, yet amazing
we can all admit that the last GO! part before the song ends abruptly is the best part
2:58 Launch Base zone Act 3
Funny, because the MJ tracks don't do anything new with their act 2 music; they just remove certain instruments for a few sections
@@SlappyHappy2000 yeah a little bit stupid to think but it works
ShyGamer 2000 I like how SEGA cut ties with Michael Jackson because he was convicted of something and didn’t want to be part of it, but they still left the clips of him going “Go!”, “Yeah!”, and “Come on!” in the music
Transformer 418 He ain’t touch them kids.
Act 2 would probably be sonic running along the bottom of the death egg, and THEN you fight Big Arms and stuff.
One of my favourite tracks in a Sonic game. I only hate how it just ends abruptly.
Like sonic 3 without sonic & knuckles
@@MJGaming57_REAL what if that was why they made the song end abruptly?
@@NewtubeWorldYT could be. The original version was gonna be a lot different
The only track that says "go and hedgehog"☆
that was the point, like how sonic 3 ended abrubtly in launchbase
Man those DAC samples are sick. That record scratch mainly.
7.8/10 IGN "Too much water"
Act 2 had too much water, Act 1 is almost completely dry.
@@blessedandbeautiful3189 ye u go in it like 4 times thats to much

That Garroulus64 lol
I like the part where they say “go.” And Channel 1 is so silly to listen to in its own.
GOGOGO DRUM GOGOGO DRUM DRUM GOGOGO ZAP ZOOM BOOM GOGOGO
LOL
This is the most complex and amazing beat I have ever heard 2:58
I swear, I hear kicks in the GO to fill in the gaps.
Sameee
Yeah, and the PSG 3 hi-hat really adds to it
3:55
Holy cow this sounds insane for 16 bit.
I remember playing Sonic Classic Collection and hearing this for the first time. I thought that version was correct, but then I listened to the original Genesis version and I was surprised. I still deep down like the DS version than the Genesis, but hey. This track's killer, nonetheless.
Tails 64 What exactly do you mean the DS version?
@@bluerious5475 I meant that the way Sonic Classic Collection on the Nintendo DS emulated the Genesis soundtrack of Sonic 3 & Knuckles (specifically Launch Base Zone, Act 1), sounded better to me than the original Genesis tracks.
Tails 64 in the version of Sonic 3 & Knuckles that you can buy on Steam, Michael Jackson’s voice sounds deeper, so there’s that
@@transformer4187 It aint Michael Jackson's voice
Press f if you didn't own sonic classic collection.
10/10 Too many gos
You gotta love that DAC. Especially at 4:34. GO GO GO GO GO GO
7:42 EVERYBODY NOW!
I need an isolated track of just the go!go!go!.
ruclips.net/video/ECfhWIrpOjA/видео.html
Crazy beats and how symmetric the music sounds, awesome job
GO! GO! GO!
I always misheard "Go hedgehog" at moments like 4:35
The best part is Act 2 is technically already there. :3
extremely underrated comment btw, this is so true
i LOVE launch base zone theme
At time index 3:37 when I was little listening and playing this level, I always thought the lyrics said “go hedgehog!
Think about how big Launch Base is, it can hold the Death Egg and way more!
Act 2 just mutes some channels, or has some little tweaks
The DAC is also slightly changed.
This comment explains why it sounded so much like act 2, thanks alot man 😊 ☺
that's what it was like for music composed by MJ and his team
@@inactive3772 which were composed by MJ and his team.
Ya
Imagine being most Channel 1’s or whatever it’s equivalent is in another song being just playing in the background maybe popping in here or there or being so loud that’s all I hear when listening to the song (I’m looking at you Flying Battery)
And than Launch Base is like “I’m drunk” becoming basically the entirety of the song
1:29, i keep expexting 009 soundsystem trance to start playing
launch base is my favorite zone in sonic 3
Launch Base has long been my favourite song in Sonic 3, and this just makes me appreciate it more. Thank you carpathia!
I just realized “Go” is the only word in Sonic 3 and Knuckles.
Ice cap zone’s “Ha” doesn’t count as a word
I thought it said "yeah" in ice cap zone...
I honestly can’t tell but ether way I don’t count it
"Come on" is in sonic 3
@@General.Noodle Also "HOO!" in the S3 miniboss.
@@TheJ.M.C Yeah is clearly a word. Ha can be used as a noise and not a word, but yeah is a word.

DAC LAUNCH BASE.
The bassline sounds like the main melody
I feel like when channel 2 and 3 are not playing then it is the main melody
Channel 1 is the bass but it’s like the lead somehow
Sometimes bass takes lead and it's fucking awesome. Rush was pretty good at this concept.

I always thought it was a trombone or something.
Never heard that as violins, maybe a trumpet or trombone
Channel 3 and channel 2 is just so relaxing
This song just makes me want to GOGOGO!!! Absolute banger.
I REALLY WANT CHANNEL 1 EXTENDED VERSION
Same
*GO! GO! GO! GO! GO! GO!*
*GO! GO! GO! GO-GO-GOGO!*
that bass is so fuckinf good.......... 😩😩😩
I could just watch Channel 1 all day.
3:39 go go go gogogogou gogogo go go go
Apparently the DAC is sampled from Run-DMC!
4:05 It sounds like Act 2
In case you are wondering, the reason MJ's launch base is "underappreciated" is because most of the players back in the day lost their sense of hearing due to the heavily compressed dac channel.
On genesis the sound quality was REALLY bad.
This is a Launch BASS
Dac goes crazy at 2X speed!
That is so satisfying to my ears
I need an hour loop of channel 1, right now!!
On it.
@@SonicTails4664 Thank you, sir. 🎩👌
DAC cheers you on, 1, PSGs and it make the humming part

oh look at that, i finally got a sample of that "go" sound stuck in my head from Launchbase zone from Sonic3&Knux
hmm let me look at the ti- 3 HOURS?
THIS TOOK 3 HOURS FOR ME TO FIND?
Where a smashing dish serves as a great effect.
This song is such a bop
I love the music
2:40 tht tiny part 🤣 funny asf
Channel 0,1,4 always play in my head
The DAC carrying all the song lol
Most replayed in most videos like in Sonic 1 2 and 3 are the bass and the DAC?
That bass reminds me of wing fortress zone.
I heard the "go" samples in the boss theme for the Bread Twins in OMORI
channel 1 is my favorite
I like the DAC and the psg 3
I always thought it was "go Sega, gogo, go Sega, gogo"
What do you use to deconstruct genesis music?
I believe he imports .vgm files to Foobar iirc
Foobar or something like that.
He made a RUclips video on it using a separate channel.
It's right here: ruclips.net/video/hgFUMzmgwYE/видео.html
Corroscope
When you have no true knowledge of music:
Cool! Wavy Lines!
Spoiler:
There os a Lot of Go on the dac.
8:24 "GO HEDGEHOG GO HEDGEHOG GO HEDGEHOG!"
DAC is my favorite part
Channel 1 and DAC sound like a sonic spinball song
Channel 0 sounds a Lot like the SGM Clav, known as the instrument used for the sans. song
2:58 sounds like some kind of sonic rush style beat
My favorite one was channel One
GO GO-
10:14 is a good part because psg 0 and psg 1 sounds like it saying I am the audio lol!
Back will be changed with what I say
I'm focus on the DAC but I'm not even focused on the go
Why did I think this was Flying Battery Zone Act 2?
There's a question I really wish would actually come true why don't they have an act too
Does anyone know where that “go” is actually sampled from?
Though the "Go" sample truly originated from Run DMC Peter Piper, the composers of this track likely took it from a sample library, particularly Zero-G Datafile.
I heard from the Sonic 3 & Knuckles iceberg video that it was from Run-DMC
