maybe check 1st and 7th lord and 1st and 9th lord positions too.. like if it is 6 and 8 then it can be bit more powerful combination

Not necessarily. Venus Ketu is not always no marriage. It indicates obstacles and problems at times.

Check where is your Mars (lagna lord) and also moon (9th lord). See if Mars(1st lord) and Venus(7th lord) are in 6 and 8 positions. Same with mars and moon too. Then it maybe more powerful afflictions.

If Ketu is 2nd from Venus, it is a stronger combination.
Ketu could be with Venus, or 2nd from Venus, or in trine to Venus. Ketu in 7th from Venus is also taken to some extent.

The 1st lord and 7th lord should not be 6th or 8th from each other or they should not be placed in 6th or 8th house ?

What if the native has the first 2 indicators but the dignity of both first and 7th lord are strong (e.g. exalted). Does it help with no marriage?
