Yeah John, me too. I was on bigger ships than this....mostly Bulk Carriers....but I did a fair bit of coasting around the UK on smaller vessels such as this. Wish I could turn the clock back!
Hi :-) Thank you for a great video. It reminds me of watching ships entering and leaving the Port Of Preston when I was a child. I could watch ships for hours. Just love the sight, sound and smell of it all. Thanks again, Tim
Another very good video, thanks for waiting so long for her to pass through the gates into the river. She still looks in very good condition under new ownership. Arklow ships are always kept on very good condition. I was very lucky to be invited aboard the Arklow Sand when she was in Glasson Dock a few years ago I was very impressed. Thanks again 🙂
Hi to you from Runcorn in Cheshire nice to see your video great 👍 one as always no paddy to day a do miss seeing him on the video well bye till next time 🕰️ take care and stay safe x
I used to deliver chemicals to the arklow fleet all over the uk used to get to some amazing places where you would think would be the last place you could get a ship . Arklow keep there ships in tip top condition excellent crews also supplied Royal fleet auxiliary very interesting to see.
Hi I’m glad you enjoyed it, I think the tall ship is Tenacious. She’s in my more recent video. She’s under threat of being sold atm there’s a petition to keep her as a training vessel for less able seamen.
Thank you. Could have been scrap metal, fertiliser or cement. The other tall ship is called the Tenacious, she’s a training vessel for special needs crew. They are desperately trying to get funding to keep her afloat. Loads of videos on yt about her.
@@Gintonics2 I'm really sorry to hear that about Tenacious, I haven't seen her in a long time ; it's usually Lord Nelson that turns up in Dublin or here in Dún Laoghaire .. Sad..
I'll think about it but I’m really just a local enthusiast, I can’t pretend to know much about shipping. I am daughter to Master Merchant Mariner and have always loved ships so I am happy to share what I see. ☺️
Very interesting, I have never seen how the sluice gates work, so fascinating to watch it!
Ah thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I always think I put too much time on those, but I love the noise and the way they click into place.
Love the sound of ships Dessel engine all ways reminds me of my time at sea in the merchant navy
Yes me too, I couldn’t capture it well enough though!

Yay Paul, thanks for being a buddy for that long wait. I don’t think I’d have stuck it out without you!

I believe it’s St John’s Antigua Barbuda
Excellent video, thanks. Can I suggest you change your channel name to 'Sharpness Shipspotting' or something like that?
