Definitely need to upgrade to this eventually, I’m using the DT402 with DCS51 and it’s never stirred me wrong. I agree with you that the power supply should have been in the back like it was. Thanks for sharing!
Very nice upgrade Kris looks nice to setup and use. Do you have the 10amp power cord. Really enjoyed the video. You are more then welcome I enjoy your content. Not only a viewer but happy to be a member of GVO Let er roll 🚂😎🫵
I've had the set for awhile and like it alot. The issue I have is the power cord. If you bump it at all, it shuts down and back on. I've been told you cut off the plug and wire it to the 8amp connection. But haven't tried it yet. Jeff
Looks great and simple and thanks for presenting, Me and my 90+ Locos are taking the dcc plunge - Soon along with new layout. I have watched just about every video on YT for DCC, I am between Digitrax and NCE (Need 8amps), both make a good starter set for me ....Now that you have had this for 8 months - what are your honest thoughts on EVOXD set ? Thanks. Anyone else - feel free to respond with your experience.
@@patricksparks6631 not too much has changed in 8 months. I still enjoy using it. I actually use both controllers still. I like the wireless option and how visually it gives me lots of on screen info. I will go back and forth from one controller to the other. I am still figuring out all the extra options the set has but I did need to move about a month ago so layout came down and I’m in the process of starting a new layout. Not that I needed it but I still have the option to upgrade the power pack to 8amps as well. Might do that in the future.
I am very happy with my DIGITRAXX EVO, this is my first DCC system. Something I wish to know; The use and difference of using the Wireless UR93 or using UR90 IR wireless PANEL. I WILL appreciate your comment. Greetings from Mexico.
That was a awesome review, Kris. Is that the duplex radio model? I’m leaning toward Digitrax duplex radio system and was wondering how far the radio signal works from. Can you tell me if a stranded 12 gauge wire will fit directly into the hole for the power to track connections? That Track side Mike is quite a guy. Did he give that to you for your layout or just to do the tutorial?
I’m not 100% on the duplex part. It has that separate box that connects the controller wirelessly. I’m sure you can have multiple at that point. The connection point where the power is has that tightening port that you use a screwdriver to tighten. It should work but would still be an easy conversion to make it work. I use 20-22 gauge (I don’t remember) and it does the trick. Thanks for watching!
I have a love hate with this system. I don’t like the fact that it goes to sleep after 30 seconds, they should let the user decide how long it stays on. I also don’t like the way you have to update the firmware. My computer is in a room upstairs, so updating the firmware isn’t going to happen. I wish they had a WiFi way of updating it.
great video Kris. I have a Zephyr express now but open to a change. thank you for exposure to this system! :)

Mine is kind of pinched under so it does not move at all. I don’t think I have experienced that with mine. Thanks for watching!

@@GoViaorgohome Thanks for your reply.
Digitrax seems to have many accessories and easier ways to integrate computer ops etc. Thanks.

You can disable this function and the screen will always stay on. I believe setting ID18=0 will do it.
