Lots of great stuff here, but the passage on predestination does not say that God chose anyone based on their future picking of God. It simply says that God chose some. Other passages explain that men, since the fall, are incapable of deciding to trust in Christ. And Jesus told Nicodemus that the Holy Spirit gives new birth to those he chooses. Men do not see the Spirit's actions at work, and don't influence it, but they see the end result.
