  • The song "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" is sung by Doris Day and Frank Sinatra while they were regulars on the radio version of You Hit Parade in the late 40s. I have included a clip from an episode of The Doris Day Show from the 1970s where Doris fills in as an umpire her boy's baseball game. There are photos of Doris in a pink coat at the Dodger game in 1965 and a photo from the movie "On Moonlight Bay" where she is catching a baseball. I hope you will enjoy watching the athletic side of Doris Day.

Brilliant, i love the way doris sings let me root root root - it's so cute, I have heard this a few times but the footage and photos makes it even better. Doris was certainly athletic, the way she jumped over the bars too in calamity jane was with so much energy. I love it - Thanks !!

    RevRonL-
It isn't a movie. It is from an episode of her TV show, season 2. I think the episode is "Doris has a date." She is looking at her watch because she has a date but has to ump the boys' game.
