I'm SO glad I stumbled across this. The Nanny has been my favourite TV show for 25+ years. This made me SO happy. The references throughout are just wonderful! Right down to the champagne. Love love love love.

When I was a kid, I’d sneak out to the living room and watch the nanny on one of those mini TV boxes with an antenna. The show used to come on at midnight. This episode makes me smile.

Playing a character that was the complete opposite of the staid, straight-laced persona of Maxwell Sheffield in The Nanny was a nice turn. It was such a funny ending to the tryst that did not quite make it.

One of my favorite episodes on this show only because its Mr Scheffield! Hee hee. Love this cameo just as much as Marilyn aka Sylvia Fine!! :) Meanwhile, where is Peter's family or parents in all this? I love how clueless Peter is on subtle hints. He's adorable!
Unfortunately, I can relate to Peter's cluelessness. Many is the time I was in "a dry spell" and folks wanted to "help me out" and I totally missed the hints. (I have a VERY bad habit of taking things too seriously. )

A lot flatterers will say a celebrity looks better older than when they were younger, but I think with Charles it's actually the case. I didn't find him particularly attractive in his late 30s on The Nanny, but I think he's strikingly good-looking here in his 50s. The silver hair really suits his face. Ravishing :P Very few people are so sexually attractive in their 50s. Both Fran and Charles got lucky.

Yeah, I kind of don't like the real Peter because of it. He wasted 21 years of her life. My poor Fran has gone through so much in her life and she is still an amazing and kind human being. Hope she finds someone that loves her. Or that Charles Shaughnessy gets a divorce and ends up with her. 😂😂
