my favorite content you produce centers around food! ur steak video is something I just keep coming back to. really hypes me up to visit fancy steakhouses and just feel like a boss.
Ok last comment... Chinatown is worth a couple of hours. To get from Gastown, backtrack to Abbott street and head south to Keefer then go east on Keefer into Chinatown. It's only about a 10 minute walk and bypasses the sketchy area on Hastings street or the streets from the end of Gastown. You'll pass by the Dr. Sun-Yat Sen classical Chinese garden that is free admission. The city has since removed the tents but you will still see some open drug use and homeless but overall it's still a safe area despite appearances. Go between noon and 6pm as the stores are closed outside of those hours. In the evening there are some great, award winning restaurants: Kissa Tanto (Japanese/Italian fusion), Bao Bei (Chinese/Spanish fusion) and Sai Woo (Asian/fusion) to name just a few...
This is old video. You can't bike right next to the water around Stanley Park. Because it’s too crowded. And the candy shop at Granville Island doesn't have bulk candy anymore.
Go a little farther up the hill from Capilano suspension bridge to Grouse Mountain. It's about 15% more expensive but there is also a family rate that compares to Capilano. Grouse has quite a few attractions and the greatest city and mountain views you can imagine. Especially the sunsets over the ocean and Vancouver Island. There are numerous dining options as well. Pro tip: Book advance reservations at the fine dining restaurant and your mountain pass is included, but leave the kids at the hotel LOL. Also, if you can't see the mountain from the city, you will only see cloud at the top, so go on a clear day.
As someone who lives just outside downtown east side (homeless area), but works in the area regularly during the day (roadside worker), if you mind your own business the area is fine a lot of the unhoused actually are quite nice a couple of them actually run a hair dressing business that helps them find a job and be presentable for interviews etc
Thanks for the tip. I'm sure Burnaby Mountain has a great view... although it is a bit of a distant view (8 miles from downtown). Nevertheless... great recommendation!
I agree. The Cypress lookout or Grouse Mountain if you don’t mind paying for the gondola are excellent views. A sky rise view within Vancouver would be spectacular but the payoff of blocking the skyline is simply not worth it. I commend the city for this restriction.

I appreciate that!
Go to Lynn Canyon for the suspension bridge instead as it's free. Maybe not as long or high but just as spectacular and not as touristy...
Great tip… thanks for sharing!

Any of the mountains, you'll get an epic skyline.
Very true… albeit a distant skyline view.
Thank you for visiting Canada, hope you had fun. As a home sick Canadian living abroad thanks. Come back.

Terrific recommendation, thank you.
Go to Lynn Valley Park. Same as Capilano but it’s free!

Totally agree: Grouse is definitely worthwhile, and the views are spectacular.
Go to Burnaby Mountain and you will get a tremendous view of Vancouver.

@@bradball You can also go to Cypress Lookout in West Vancouver, it is spectacular.

I agree Burnaby mountain has an amazing view.
Thanks for the heads up about the degenerates/ dope heads!!! I'll have my baton just in case.
Vancouver sucks and I am desperate to get out of here. You can’t eat the scenery. People are jerks.
