Wow, Rikka''s and Calli's voices blended so well together. Definitely not your traditional duet where there's a girly girl part for the lady and a manly man part for the guy.
Yeah if anything, the roles are kinda reversed, Calli takes care of the badass rap part, and Rikka takes care of the soft voiced singing. Very interesting dynamic, and I really love it!

a Hololive Holostars collab is already rare, and we’re being blessed with a HololiveEN Holostars collab today, we are very very blessed.
From what we can infer, seems there is no official rule to prohibit the collab between HoloGirls and HoloStar, it really depends on the girl's decision.
- FuBuKi often collab with Oga, but we didn't see any collab with Stars from either other gen 1 or Gamers.
- Iofi, Risu often with Kira Kira Family, and Ollie with Astel, yet other Holo ID girls never collab with Stars.
- Calli collab with Rikka and trash taste, but no other HoloEN does it.
- Sora called Roberu.
Then Noel once explained that she can't collab with Stars since she is not good with men and she wants to keep her idol image.
Seems that it's both their personal decision (valid) and for the idol image (valid)
Apparently there have been some problems with fans getting mad but I haven't heard of any in the time I've been in the rabbit hole

Coming over from Calli's channel. When Rikka's voice first appears in the song I was like "Wow!" Hope anyone who reads the comment felt the same. The tone change going into and out of Calli's rap in the middle was really great on the ears. Definitely gonna check out any other music on the channel.
Yep, him having the higher voice than her is just sooo diffrent from what you normally hear. The song changes it's flow at least one time but it's genieus. Sadly his other music is so far away from anything I regulary listen (Which is mainly medal, so even calli is a bit away from my favourite genre). But this collab is gold
@@tizi087 Primary metalhead myself, but I've started listening to bit of J-Pop due to Rikka and other Holostars as well and I'd say they are way better than the average Pop we find in western charts, with defined rhythms, guitars and chord progressions. Opened my eyes to a different genre

Yep. I watched the Rikka concert that Calli shared a while back, where Rikka first performed Spiral Tones. He's got a great voice. So I've been working through his other covers and I could a couple of his guitar/singing streams too.
Calli and Rikka's voices have great synergy. The first transition from Calli singing to Rikka singing kinda blew me away.

@@Moltenlava Nope, one thing you could admire Astel on, is his ideals, he sticks to them and the fans follows through them, if you manage to join in on one of the unarchived streams, you will see on chat that someone (new viewer) says, clip this, someone has to clip this, or the likes, and then someone (regular or knows the rules) says, you cant clip this Astel rules, Astel doesnt allow clips of unarchived streams, or the likes, you could see how the fans follow his ideals, pls do check them out

@@a_few_species I assume you mean Nijisanji, right? If so, you're mixing "Idol" and "Vtuber". It's two different concepts, especially in Japan.
Nijisanji never had any problem with mixed collabs because they never tapped into Idol Culture, they are just streamers. Of course, they still had problems caused by the stupidity of their audience, just not related to Idol Culture.
For those of you who haven't checked out holostars yet, all 9 of them are super talented and super underrated (a few of them are still under 100k subs) they all post great covers and are funny, cute, and wholesome, so please check them out! There aren't any updated guides on yt so I recommend diving right in with clips or their Christmas off collab.
Only two of them are under 100k. (Till a new gen gets announce)
There are greatly over shined by hololive even though their super talented.
One of it is because their agency prioritize to promote hololive than them.

I have so much to say about this!
1. Rikka's voics sounds so good, especially at the higher pitch parts, it really contrasts Calli's low pitched Rap
2. The costumes in the MV are so cool, they are matching as well
3. The little eq band at the bottom of the video shows who's singing. In the chorus it says 'Morikka'
4. It is so cool to have HoloEN and HoloStars collab! We gotta have one with Gura as well now

The Gura fanbase is very toxic, so much so that in a collaboration with among us a few months ago, Gura fans attacked Hololive ID's Iofi and Calliope, and even tried to include Kiara as well.

I'm afraid it is not that rare. Even if we look at one Hololive talent, Matsuri, Rikka provided the male voice for: Hakujitsu, Kabutomushi, Preserved Roses, Daddy! Daddy! Do!, Kaede, and Turing Love, so far.

After hearing that time Mori and Rikka sang Uchiage Hanabi, I have always wanted of an official song collab between the two of them.
Edit: It is so awesome! This is so amazing!!! Both of them sang so beautifully!!! I really wish for more song collabs like this in the future.
Btw, back when they did that stream, they had already made this song, and Rikka had sung it during his 3D concert prior to that, this is just that song finally getting a proper video :P

Can't believe I only found out about this gem after they performed it in Calli's first 3D birthday live.
i find it funny how my fall to hololive started with 5 second clips. which evolved to 15-30 minute clips then started watching the actual streams and my fall began from there and now its happening all over again with holostars, rikka definitely took the cake for me this time

DAMN this song is bop. I don’t watch Rikka but from today and onward I’ll see his streams every once in a while. I just wish they toned down the auto tune just a little bit when Rikka was singing, his voice sounds ✨magnificent✨ without the auto tune during some of the parts.

Well, came as a loyal deadbeat and enjoyed every bit of Calli naturally but I will say Rikka your very impressive, range and pitch on point man. Here after Calli's 3D birthday concert, and wow I'm blown away by Rikka talent, this song is lit, but I feel like the recorded version is overly autotuned, Rikka sounds even better in the live acoustic version
