I have a RG470 (1994) with the same pickups and I am tired of them. Just doesn't output enough variation in tone. The V8 is super thin and the V7 is fat but no color. I'm really into guys like Aaron Marshall and Plini so pickups that help with that tone is what I am looking for.
Hi, I have a GRG270 with nice fretwork done, I was planning to put these mic on that one. Is it worth it or should I get a Rg 350 (they come with quantums) or RG470, (they come with core tone) are these mics better than those? or is ot a matter of taste. These sound great for me. the stock ones sound a bit dull.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure I was using Yamaha THR 30 II.
v8 was on the bridge right?
Yes for sure, I usually prefer the bridge pick up on this one. Crisp and defined.
What's name (series) this guitar?
Hi, it's Ibanez RG1570 Prestige :)
Less tremolo, please.....
Haha I've learnt to moderate my use over time 😉
