The middle wheels hanging is actually accurate to some trucks. And the back end of the truck having hollow bits it super accurate actually. People always complain that it’s not the legs on the back but it’s actually accurate to have big holes in the back of the truck.

I totally get that KOs are inherently shady, and fully understand others who view them with distain and would rather get official or 3rd party. But, as someone who has to view every figure through the lines of what's affordable and what fits best in my collection, KOs are a pretty good option for me personally. I don't have any loyalty to hasbro, because really why should I? All I want is the best product my money can buy, and whether it's official or not doesn't matter to me
@@ryankronenbitter2013 the QC issue on my KO SS38 Optimus isn't in the shoulder but the elbows. His arms can't hold a bend while his rifle is pegged in, unless I put it up on an angle. I have no issues with the shoulders so far.

I currently own the original Studio Series figure. It's actually pretty good, despite the kibble and slight inaccuracies. Mine had some QC issues, such as small tabs not plugging in, but that's it.
Ko or not, this prime is one of the best design i ve seen in years. And that there is a great ko of it makes it just better. Ppl need to understand license can be bought and it can be crap where else things don't have license can be a genius or craftsman that does understand and appreciate the art.
I have this Prime. He's actually the best IMO among the prime figures. But SS 32 is a equally great figure with this figure. But this KO has a leg pivot that the original doesn't have so that's a pro The cons is that die cast plastic. I don't like die cast plastic because I owned the Evasion mode nemesis Prime from the same company and it didn't last a week. So yea, these are just personal opinions. BTW you can store the gun under the truck

He broke twice for me. He has loose joints, one head horn broke off, and his abdomen thing broke, although it doesnt impact robot mode, just transformation is something I won't do. Transformation sucks. Gun too loose. Edit: Oh, the head and the top flap get STUCCCKCKKK in truck mode. Edit: I'm pretty sure the gap looks like a real truck, so thats one thing they did good.

Like I have said before, the *Aoyi Mech LS-13 Tactical Commander* is a over-sized and improved Knock Off of this mold. If you liked the one in your video, I guarantee you'll love that one too.
For the loose joints you can use parchment paper to thicken up the joints for example for the mushroom pegs on the hips you can use the parchment paper to add another layer to prevent it being lose(the hips are also on screws) the kibble on the arms are also removable. Yes the joints on mine are lose and it was easy to fix, for the knees it’s also on screws so you decide on how tight you want it to be.
Its a very good knockoff but the head cover for the truck mode is a pain to undo and the arm makes the cover for the arm is printed the same way as the other one

5:45 when you said "its better than the evasion mode prime" well ACTUALLY, due to licensing issues upon molding this toy, they would have to use the '1997 Marmon HDT AC86' truck which WAS the ON-SCREEN truck that was USED in optimus prime's evasion mode back in the 2014 Transformers AoE film. paramount apparently used an unlicensed and modified '1987 Freightliner FLA 86' truck on the ending scene of the bumblebee movie. so to avoid licensing issues, hasbro decided to use the marmon truck in this studio series 38 optimus. but still, the detail is awesome, it breathes more life to the iconic optimus prime that people grew up with as the OG transformers fans (like me)

Another thing a lot of people don't consider during 3P vs Official is price-point. Yes, the $200 3P Optimus Prime is probably better than the $30 Optimus Prime I picked up at Walmart, but I only have so much money, so much shelf-space, and so much patience Ditto for quality, a figure can be all that and a bag of chips but if it breaks on first transformaton (with instructions) then I'm immediately shit out of luck.
Apparently the middle wheels problem is due to the original mold. Mine has same issue and I tried to enlarge the holes in the back of the arms where the legs go but didn't worked because the smokestacks still get in the way. Some people manage to store the rifle in the gap between the legs in truck mode. Doesn't work on mine but you should try.
That's the joke, Hasbro used the Marmon truck from Age of Extinction, not the Freightliner from the Bumblebee movie. I don't know why but that's what they did.
Guess what? Last summer, I got this on wish. It took 6 months to get here, and you know what I got? A normal, regular colored studio series bumblebee movie Optimus, with awful qc, and a broken gun. The panels on the arms and on the back covering the tires just keep falling off, and the truck mode doesnt hold together.
Mine seems to have weird QC it’s outward hips are a tad loose but the shoulders moving outward is a tad stiff still for like 15-17 dollars it’s an awesome figure makes me wish I had gotten the official when it was around
I gotta be honest I get Takara has to go through more but that mp optimus was unforgivable they can do better and they have many many many times before
Totally on the same page as you on why Hasbro's figures often arent as good. Its the same situation with Lego and why fans consistently do an enormously better job on things like Star Wars vehicles. Like the designers working for lego can and often do design much better models than what gets released, but they cant release a childrens' toy that falls apart if you look at it funny.
I found 1 for around $30 and the only problems i have are that the windows under his arms are lose, the shins dont tab in even though theres a tab, and some screws showing in the back. But over all amazing figure highly recomend
MPM 12 is actually pretty fairly priced for what you get. it's the same size and stuff as mp44 but would only get the gun and matrix which drops the price significantly when compared to mp44. Plus MPM is meant to be a more wallet friendly MP line, and in some other countries (like here in Canada) its cheaper to buy than the states.
Even based purely on the time constraints I fully understand why 3rd party figures are better. Another thing is that sometimes, occasionally, in my opinion, the safety laws makes the official ones better. I don't care how accurate or posable a figure is if it draws blood. It very much might be a case of cost issues, maybe rounding the edges takes more time/effort. Yet another reason why official ones are "worse" they have to spend at least some part of the *fixed* budget on making sure the toy is safe.
Does Hasbro have more rules to follow before toys hit the market? Yes. Does Hasbro have a CEO and executives who make more in a month than most people do in a year? Also yes.
Why would it suck when 3rd party produces better product than the original ?? That's a win for the consumer, I have sticky paper that I can print and cut autobot logos and put it on the shoulders to make it look authentic.
This figure is amazing and all but this figure does not transform well, since its an knock off its wont be as perfect as an og but its a great figure but you wont see him in a truck mode in my videos I had to make an actual toy truck of nemesis prime.
6:14 the earthrise Optimus Prime’s trailer does work with the figures trailer hitch because I gave my studio series 38 Optimus Prime (from Bumblebee) the trailer and it works well and just a little bit stiff at first but it will loosen up over time without badly damaging the figure and it completes the G1 astatic the mold is going for. (Just a thought for if you do get earthrise Optimus or siege Nemesis)
Don't forget, Hasbro has Stock owners to keep happy, so quality and customer happiness isn't really at the top of their priority. -- Why do they not care that there's a lot of KO companies popping up? Did it occur that these KO factories used to be Hasbro factories, and that Hasbro has moved to a much cheaper one? Either that or a cousin of a cousin of a cousin stole designs and decided to put up his own KO factory. Hasbro don't care because they've lowered their manufacturing cost. Why do KOs cost 1/3rd the price of the original and still make money? Is it possible Hasbro spends the same money to make the same item and sells it at 9x the manufacturing cost?
The classic g1 inspired optimus design is fantastic but i'm not a fan of the weird metallic teal color. Black and red work ok but metallic teal..? Who came up with that

I'm starting to think the drop tests are bullshit because my studio series grimlock's wheelie fell two feet to the ground and the peg that holds the arm on broke off and that was it first time falling I had literally gotten it like 3 days before

My guy, the middle wheels not rolling is common on the official as well (at least from what I've seen). Earthrise Trailer CAN plug in, its great.
Aside from the red windows and missing a crane on the back, the truck mode reminds me of the truck chase from Terminator 2 XD
