WIE GEIL IS DAS DENN =) Da bekommt Nantes, Elephant Gun und Scenic World noch Ohrwürmer dazu =D Zwa nich alle lieder so perfekt wie die anderen, doch das is mal wieder richtig schön.
sério. nos não sentimos mais, quando acontese vem do coração, não tem nem como explicar, não tem palavras para explicar, nem lágrimas nem centímetros, a raiva é Por e so sentimento.
@Solarpoweredspaz I see what you mean here. I can hear a bit of Elephant Gun too, but this song has a different flavour, hasn't it ? :) Hearing this live in 2 days... Then I can finally say that my life is complete. This song... THIS SONG!
Well said. As I listened through the album I was somewhat disappointed for some reason, I thought it was cause I'd over-hyped myself up for it or something. But either way, the songs seemed lacking some important indiscernible ingredient. Then this song comes on at the very end and feels just like the old Beirut stuff. He's still got it in him.
@agnosticzebra Check out Roy Wood's album Boulders, where he DOES pretty much play every instrument himself, and he wrote it all as well. Writing all the music yourself, for a band, is nothing that unique (well more so now in this generation, but still). He makes great music, but it's not hard to find comparable talent.
it is almost comical when my friends ever try to compare his art to ANYONE ELSES I don't understand how they could ever believe I would ever agree that anyone could be better...have they heard these songs?
@arthenis1 I think you're confusing the critique of the person's statement with personal criticism. It's hardly hypocritical to bring another person's method (or "opinion" as you say) into question as long as it remains a critique of that alone and not their personal life (a.k.a ad hominem). Why would people put their opinions on a public forum if they have no intention of receiving a reply? There seems to be no reason why posts shouldn't include thoughtful critique.
After listening to this I feel like sailing off into the sunset, humming the tune at the end of the song.
Estremece mi alma y alegra mi corazón...que bello es lo que hacen, lo generan...transito, camino hacia el amanecer....
This is how love feels.. Oh.

And you, you had hope for me now

Be fair to me, I may drift a while
@InsomniacGoose You forgot 50 Cent and Dragonforce, two of Beirut's biggest influences.
@InsomniacGoose fair fair i did get a little carried away i see your point but it is different to a point where comparison is difficult.

@sukini3 I know how you feel how very very plain of them to think in such a fashion... it's simply an outrage.
@sukini3
That's called being close minded... and its not comical... not even almost
