Thank you for this analysis! I love and hate RUclips for various reasons, but I'm happy to have finally found this film to watch on here. Many of the Cassavetes or New Wave Hollywood films I have watched were in lecture halls or basement classrooms of local universities (NYU, The New School, Cooper Union) shown by obscure student film clubs. Boy I really miss those days.
