Watched a couple days ago - love the faux leather, I also bought some off Amazon a couple years ago, so glad they now have earring dies!
Hi Tracie....thanks for stopping by. I'm glad I discovered the faux leather on Amazon, because the other place I found it was definitely more expensive. However the earring dies I got turned out to be much bigger than expected....I thought they would be smaller like the ones I got from the other company.....but I have other ideas for them anyway. Hopefully in the near future I'll be sharing my ideas in videos :) Hugs....Janie

You will love it! I have cut the faux leather, aluminum soda pop cans, craft foam, cardstock, etc. It's a great little die cutting machine for smaller things. Have fun 😊 Hugs....Janie

I have worked faux leather before and it's awesome.....it's like leather only thinner. Of course the sparkley stuff really isn't like leather, but it's very cool. I'll see if I have an older video with me using the faux leather. I have a few ideas for this but not sure when I'll get around to it, so keep your eyes open for it 😊💖🤗 Hugs....Janie

Love your faux leather, especially the holographic, how awesome!!! I wouldn't give up on the chunky glitter leather. Maybe an electronic machine with a good shim and a metal shim will do the trick. I'm looking forward to seeing all your upcoming projects janie!!!
A friend suggested the metal shim and I tried that but it still didn't work. I even tried other dies in case it was the dies, but still no luck. And I tried using my Cuttlebug in case it was the new Sizzix Sidekick.....and still no luck. I even tried using the die from the backside instead of the front side.....yes I tried many ways with no luck. BUT....there are still other ways to use it and I'm looking forward to that 😊 I have some steel dies I know it will work with but probably not anything I want to use with it.....LOL But you will definitely see some things in the future where I will be using the faux leather 😊💖🤗 Hugs....Janie

Have you tried turning over the material to the other side and cutting it?
Oh yes.....I have tried turning the material over and cutting from the back side, I have put it through the die cutter facing up and facing down, I have put it through the die cutter MANY times, and I have used a shim. I can't even cut it with my rotary trimmer that seems to cut everything else (aluminum soda cans, cereal boxes, and more). But I'm not worried, I'll find other uses for it. I have a A LOT of faux leather that I can cut with my dies. But I also have other plans for the faux leather 😊 Hugs....Janie
Love your idea on making earrings, if you have Electric die cutting machine, will it cut the chunky glitter material?
Oh I can't take credit for any earring making ideas.....these dies and the other dies I shared in a previous video, are made for making earrings. And the other place I got some earring making dies from sells the faux leather to make the earrings with. But my previous video on making earrings with the dies I showed how to do it with craft foam sheets, and that was MY idea 😊 As for cutting with an electronic die cutting machine, I have several, including the Cricut Explore, and it doesn't cut it. I think maybe with the Cricut Maker it could be done because that has special blades for cutting fabric, but I don't own one of those. Scissors are the only thing I have that can cut through it. I have a rotary paper trimmer that couldn't do it, and a rotary cutter for cutting fabric that couldn't do it. But it's not a big deal since I have other ideas for it and can cut it easily with scissors. I also have steel dies that I will try that can probably cut through it, but I doubt any of them are dies I would want to use with it. Not everything needs to be die cut.....there are so many other possibilities for it 😊💖🤗 Hugs....Janie

OLD LEATHER SMITH here, very good, nice small clicker, all on Amazon, I like it, would you like some leather in different thicknesses 2 try?? No charge, I believe I even have some ostrich and alegator in my scrap barrel I could send 2 you, I have made earrings out if them and other LEATHERS, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
