In the UK we have pancake mix in bottles, you just add water and shake. You can get it in traditional style, American or American with choc chips. They are great with caramel sauce.

I would not call the pancake mix instant food since you have to actually cook it. I like the packs of curry and such because you don't really need rice. You could put it on bread, noodles or potatoes too. Everything was really good on price except that ramen. $6 for noodles and soup, isn't worth it. I know there are bowls of instant ramen that have the other stuff w/ it for less.
The instant curry rice cup looks amazing. You are very lucky to have such delicious and affordable convenience food.

The pancake mix does require cooking as you say. It may not be instant food... Ichiran ramen is notoriously expensive 😂 but it tastes good!
