@@SCRUFFYPIGEON yeah I’m on skips now and it’s much better. I was spending more time in the yard picking and loading the truck with loads that wouldn’t fit on and no time driving. Skips your out the yard a 07.05 and cracking on. Same money and usually done by 15.30 . Much better. The two guys on the crane now are struggling to get three runs done before 16.00. I think they’re putting less on the trucks to try and help get them out quicker. I enjoyed the delivery part of it but dreaded going back to yard to load up
🤣🤣frustrating isn’t it,you just want to get out and do the deliveries luckily we have all the loads prepared at Ewloe we are running 5 cranes now, I have been there and done it though we used to pick our loads and it was a nightmare.I’ve done skips and it is a lot less hassle than the cranes.I’ve done it for so long though now it’s just natural if you know what I mean.
@@SCRUFFYPIGEON yeah I know I’m a turn the truck on and go sort of person. But I enjoy the skip work for now. Is a bit boring being local all the time but the hours are good and you get left alone
Can't believe they are picking your loads for you now. They never used to!!! Back in the days, I worked for Tim, it would be come in at 6, load up, deliver repeat, repeat again, and then again, plus another and clock off at 21.00 ish. I'm going back over 20 years ago now. Them were the days!!! Is Archie still there?
