Geoff harmonizing gold, i'm a big JR Cash fan, but Geoff's version put this song on a entirely new level for me, it's so cool to see what he did with it, i love it.
I never liked this song until I watched Geoff sing this one. I found Geoff 1½ years ago through a reaction. I immediately signed up for his Patreon. A couple after I found out he was part of Voiceplay. Dragonborn Comes was my first video of theirs and I joined their Patreon. A month later I found out Layne and former member, Tony owned Pattycake Productions with a bunch of awesome videos. All original. My first with them was Villains Haunted Mansion.
Geoff & Voiceplay are totally independent. They produce all their own music & videos & as a proud Patreon for both I can see where my money goes! I'm glad you're really enjoying them both
@@NORSEVIKING agreed! It's amazing what can be done when you have total creative control over what you produce. As another patron of both VP and Geoff, I can say it's well worth joining because you get to see a ton of behind the scenes stuff, see hidden premieres, have livechats with them where they answer lots of questions and just have really entertaining chats with everyone, even see livestreams during some of their video shoots. It's fascinating to have such an inside view of their creative process. Geoff has started doing session walk throughs where he talks about how he makes his covers, playing isolated tracks of interesting vocals or instrumentals.
I'd recommend "In the hall of the Mountain King". You'll just LOVE it... "If you don't die laughing first" (Oogie Boogie, op. cit. 😁). Loved your reaction. 🙂 One thing that I wonder is why the vast majority of the reactors seem to either not notice, or just not give a f**k about, that the "ghosts" have a few characteristics that make 'em really "ghostly": the blue-ish colour of their "light", the light blue contacts, and above all that their being translucent. You can see the clouds and the mountains THROUGH them. If this is not kinda defining them as ghosts, I don't know what would! 🙂 See you next time! PS: did I recommend "In the hall of the Mountain King" already? 😅
Always here for anything of VoicePlays or Geoff Castelluccis. VoicePlay and Geoff are independent. In this one, we get to meet Geoffs' clone, Daryl. We met the first three in his cover of Elvis Way Down. I got the names off Kathy's costume list in the behind-the-scenes video. L to R, Jeff, Daryl, Geoff, Goff, and Jeoph. We asked Geoff why Daryl and Geoff said he just looked like a Daryl and someone you didn't want to mess with.
Love your reaction. You can't go wrong with Geoff or VoicePlay. They do everything themselves no labels. Best thing to do is just make a list of all their stuff and then throw a dart at it. I guarantee you love whatever it lands on. Ps new sub. Saw VP and had to. 🐎🤠
@@NORSEVIKING they seem to have an uncanny knack for transforming songs that a person isn't particularly fond of, into one of their favorite songs that's played on repeat :) the effect is even more powerful for songs that you really love. It does seem like everything they touch turns to gold!
Loved watching you laugh all the way through this. Geoff's attention to detail is amazing. Did you notice that one of the ghosts was left handed? Tipped his hat with his left hand, holstered gun was on his left side...... And Geoff does about half of Voiceplay's arrangments and videos, so you will see his style there as well. There are two versions of Grim Grinning Ghosts that they did. The production with all the views and one that they did backstage after a concert. It's live with no effects. It proves that they are just as good that way!! Maybe do them together? 💀☠💀☠🤡👽🐎🐎🐎
I did not notice that. That's definitely the actor in him, making subtle choices for each character. I've done a lot of theatre and enjoy adding little details. Dude is living his dream. I may do both!
I also like that ‘Daryl’ in the leather duster manages to look slightly heavier than the others to me. Which fits well with Daryl in Folsom Prison doing the push-ups.
Time warp is pretty short, so you could even squeeze it in as a twofer with another spooky one. I'm always here for the VoicePlay and Geoff! That goofiness you mentioned is often very evident in the behind-the-scenes videos in their Patreons--probably the most fun benefit of being a Patron! Geoff had quite a bit of fun with all the beards in this one!
This is a comfort song for me, because my mother used to sing it to me back in the 60s. So not really spooky for me at all! Geoff did a great job on it. My YT Hallowe'en playlist is just stuffed with VP & Geoff videos, the rest are mainly a cappella (or adjacent), and not many other genres get a look in...
Yes Geoff is totally independent. He doesn't want to be tied to a label. It's the same for VoicePlay. They aren't with any label. This way they can do whatever they want,
Do you recognize the four outfits? My sister is an old Cash fan, and only took a dozen seconds to identify the 4 of them. Hint... he brought back the 4 who sung this together to sing with him.
And yes, the ones on his channel are recorded almost totally by Kathy... he sometimes has Rick or Layne as well, but they are almost all just the small team.

Geoff is certainly the gateway drug to Voiceplay and Patty Cake...

I love it! I'm happy more artists are remaining independent.

It was harder before things like Patreon. Now we can send a couple bucks a month and it work.

Thank you for being here. If this is the first reaction, definitely check the others. I pinned the playlist. Lots of fun!

Another independent artist is another phenomenal singer Dan Vasc

I love it! Labels control everything and make most of the money. I'm happy a lot of artists are remaining independent.
Time warp is a short, not a full version - so you can tack it on with something else if you want...
Ooooh, you haven't done their version of This Is Halloween yet? That one and In The Hall of the Mountain King are perfect for this season.
Great Reaction

❤❤ Loved the reaction 😊
And, we have a contender to blues brothers ❤😊
Got the feeling you enjoyed this one! ❤🏴
I definitely did!
