This video is very helpful but I have question that suppose i want to create a composite variable then should i divide the sum of variables by the number of choice of options(which is 5 in my case) or by the number of questions (which is 8 in my case)?
The number of questions that you will be adding must then be divided by the same number. If you are adding 5 questions then divide it by 5 and if you are using 8 questions then divide it by 8 that would be how you get the average result for the composite variable.
What if I need to input open ended questions, but it’s conditional. For example, (the last question of questionnaire) “Did you enjoy the experience?” Yes or No. If yes, the questionnaire will just end there. But If respondent choose No, there will be another 1 more open question “The reason choosing No”. How to put this in spss variable? what to put at the value?
Close ended questions can easily be coded so it is advisable to use them. If you are using the last open ended question then with the No you can identify broad themes based on the answers you received and code them.
Hello friend Thank you for explanation In Data View Section , i enter all participants information that they submitted in the questionnaire manually? Thank you
yeah if you have collected it on google docs or some online link then you could have copied. If you collected on paper then you have to enter manually yeah.
Your topic will be helping you focus on the IVs and DV. The questionnaire you make should have questions related to all of the variables then make composite variables for further analysis
You may need to run the multiple regression three times and present your results in an organized manner. The three scales would comprise of your independent variables. Then you run it separately on each predictor after that discuss the findings for each analysis. It is all about discussing the results properly by supporting them with statistical data and making sure they seem credible. You may support with results of other researchers on similar studies
It depends on the number of questions that you are using in the questionnaire. Generally there are many questions related to the independent variable so it is good to make the composite variables.
You must have a saved file of spss or excel sheet on which you had all the responses. Do not leave your files unsaved that way you will lose your data and it will be hectic to go through everything again.
To be more specific to your issue I would recommend you to check for the version of SPSS you are using. May be you need to update it or have some installation problem. I have not experienced such a thing but I am trying my best to assist you. thanks
This is the likert scale that has these options from strongly disagree to strongly agree that helps to assess the opinions of people. It shows the level of agreement to particular questions in the questionnaire.
You can find appropriate questions that highlight the main IVs or DV and then composite variable is the average of the questions allowing you to conduct direct analysis in a summarized and clear manner
How to find out the frequencies like median, s.d of the likert scale data by splitting overall group into different groups and find the frquencies of each group...as like.. this group median is ...and s.d is......i am only able to find the individual frequencies but not the group ..hope u understand my question and help me.
Mene variables wise questionnaire bnay, mix variables pr bnay h questionnaire, to kese kam kron , ab kia mje again variables statement bna k questionnaire bnani pregy?? Hi.. thanks for your video.. I am also having a similar questionaire with composite variables. I have few doubts on this . firstly, if I need to do multiple linear regression, should I use these composite variable as independent variable in order to get the r square, t- stat , f value etc? secondly can i use the same way to do my dependent variables as well?
Yes you have to make composite variables for both dependent and independent variables. Then you can run multiple regression to get the results and interpret them.
This video mostly help to my research thank you
I am glad it helped
Very informative sir... Thankyou for sharing such information...

Thus video is a life saver. Thank you for this.
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the video !! nicely explained !!
Glad it was helpful!
You did this one good and it's very helpful. please, would you do another video on multiple linear regression with the same question?
There is already a video or more than one videos covering it and its intterpretation

Thnk uh sir... Vry helpful vdo sir🥰
So nice of you

How do you add the dependent variable?
Have you completed rest part for analyzing this questionnaire? Where I can find the video?
Try to search it in the playlist

@@knowledgeabundance4370 thank you so much , i just got my Bachelor Degree before 2 months , :) much appreciated
How do we run multiple linear regression? How do we select independent variables and dependent variable from the 5 point likert scale? Thank You !
Your topic will be helping you focus on the IVs and DV. The questionnaire you make should have questions related to all of the variables then make composite variables for further analysis
What if my questionnaire is assessing 3 separate predictors and uses 3 separate scales and I want to run a multiple regression how can I do this?

Do we need to do the composite variable for independent variable?

Am lost to how I present my the data in spss and translate any help please
I have shown you the way to code the variables and then you can simply enter the data in the data view of the SPSS
What if the answer for the question is true or false, does it still in scale or graph thingy
Yeah again you can do the analysis no matter what the scale you use. Also you can present it using a pie chart
Hllw take my greeting
I have been working on SPSS for 3 month to entry data bt suddenly i have lost my data view of SPSS plz help me kindly...

How can I interpret 1: strongly disagree, 2: disagree, 3: somewhat disagree, 4: somewhat agree, 5: agree, 6: strongly agree please? I didn't find any reference
This is the likert scale that has these options from strongly disagree to strongly agree that helps to assess the opinions of people. It shows the level of agreement to particular questions in the questionnaire.
What is the use of composite variable here?

you can review the SPSS options and tests further to explore these. It is possible to do that by the way

Ap jab data ko enter karogy to khayal rakhna k variable ki coding sahi karo baki kam ap spss ma sahi enter kar k kar sakty hain.
Why is composite value needed ARRR?
Based on the names of the variables that are used in the study I made such acronyms
HI. Can you show us how to calculate frequency of a composite group? How to find out which statement has been used most or least by the population?
Yeah its easy for that go to Analyze and focus on Frequency portion it will show the percentage
that clicking sound almost killed me.
Sorry about that
