    You did this one good and it's very helpful. please, would you do another video on multiple linear regression with the same question?

      There is already a video or more than one videos covering it and its intterpretation

    This video is very helpful but I have question that suppose i want to create a composite variable then should i divide the sum of variables by the number of choice of options(which is 5 in my case) or by the number of questions (which is 8 in my case)?

    • @knowledgeabundance4370
      @knowledgeabundance4370  4 года назад +3

      The number of questions that you will be adding must then be divided by the same number. If you are adding 5 questions then divide it by 5 and if you are using 8 questions then divide it by 8 that would be how you get the average result for the composite variable.

    What if I need to input open ended questions, but it’s conditional. For example, (the last question of questionnaire) “Did you enjoy the experience?” Yes or No. If yes, the questionnaire will just end there. But If respondent choose No, there will be another 1 more open question “The reason choosing No”. How to put this in spss variable? what to put at the value?

    • @knowledgeabundance4370
      @knowledgeabundance4370  2 года назад

      Close ended questions can easily be coded so it is advisable to use them. If you are using the last open ended question then with the No you can identify broad themes based on the answers you received and code them.

    In Data View Section , i enter all participants information that they submitted in the questionnaire manually?
    Thank you

      yeah if you have collected it on google docs or some online link then you could have copied. If you collected on paper then you have to enter manually yeah.

    How do we run multiple linear regression? How do we select independent variables and dependent variable from the 5 point likert scale? Thank You !

    • @knowledgeabundance4370
      @knowledgeabundance4370  3 года назад

      Your topic will be helping you focus on the IVs and DV. The questionnaire you make should have questions related to all of the variables then make composite variables for further analysis

    What if my questionnaire is assessing 3 separate predictors and uses 3 separate scales and I want to run a multiple regression how can I do this?

    • @knowledgeabundance4370
      @knowledgeabundance4370  4 года назад

      You may need to run the multiple regression three times and present your results in an organized manner. The three scales would comprise of your independent variables. Then you run it separately on each predictor after that discuss the findings for each analysis. It is all about discussing the results properly by supporting them with statistical data and making sure they seem credible. You may support with results of other researchers on similar studies

    Do we need to do the composite variable for independent variable?

    • @knowledgeabundance4370
      @knowledgeabundance4370  2 года назад

      It depends on the number of questions that you are using in the questionnaire. Generally there are many questions related to the independent variable so it is good to make the composite variables.

    I have been working on SPSS for 3 month to entry data bt suddenly i have lost my data view of SPSS plz help me kindly...

    • @knowledgeabundance4370
      @knowledgeabundance4370  Год назад

      You must have a saved file of spss or excel sheet on which you had all the responses. Do not leave your files unsaved that way you will lose your data and it will be hectic to go through everything again.

    • @knowledgeabundance4370
      @knowledgeabundance4370  Год назад

      To be more specific to your issue I would recommend you to check for the version of SPSS you are using. May be you need to update it or have some installation problem. I have not experienced such a thing but I am trying my best to assist you. thanks

    How can I interpret 1: strongly disagree, 2: disagree, 3: somewhat disagree, 4: somewhat agree, 5: agree, 6: strongly agree please? I didn't find any reference

    • @knowledgeabundance4370
      @knowledgeabundance4370  2 года назад

      This is the likert scale that has these options from strongly disagree to strongly agree that helps to assess the opinions of people. It shows the level of agreement to particular questions in the questionnaire.

    What is the use of composite variable here?

    • @knowledgeabundance4370
      @knowledgeabundance4370  3 года назад +1

      You can find appropriate questions that highlight the main IVs or DV and then composite variable is the average of the questions allowing you to conduct direct analysis in a summarized and clear manner

    How to find out the frequencies like median, s.d of the likert scale data by splitting overall group into different groups and find the frquencies of each group...as like.. this group median is ...and s.d is......i am only able to find the individual frequencies but not the group ..hope u understand my question and help me.

      you can review the SPSS options and tests further to explore these. It is possible to do that by the way

    Hi.. thanks for your video.. I am also having a similar questionaire with composite variables. I have few doubts on this .
    firstly, if I need to do multiple linear regression, should I use these composite variable as independent variable in order to get the r square, t- stat , f value etc?
    secondly can i use the same way to do my dependent variables as well?

    • @knowledgeabundance4370

      Yes you have to make composite variables for both dependent and independent variables. Then you can run multiple regression to get the results and interpret them.
