      I have some videos already ruclips.net/video/J0nCeEC-sCE/видео.html - simple motor starter, ruclips.net/video/UH_Yj7Arh4M/видео.html - motor forward-reverse. It's just how to write a program but it might be helpfull.

      AboutElectricity Hi why are the neutral bars (1and 2) separated from common neutral bar. why don't you use one common neutral bar for RCD1,2 N bar

      @@smartcars_intelligentworld5469 No, they must be in order, don't mix the neutral wires. 🙄

    How about doing one with only one RCD and the variations you may discovery at jobs where there could by MCBs and RCBOs and RCD mixed on a board?
    Great video, clear simple and concise to follow 👍

    Hi, It is very nice and clear Video, Thanks. But please consider if you want to do it yourself cos there are more factors which affect like: cable size, capacity of the circuit. We can not afford to make mistake on a RCD.

    Hi, thank you for making this! Really helpful. One question tho.
    Does it matter which way you connect the input line to the MCB? I was always taught to connect the input line only from the top, but can you also do it like you did and connect the phase input from the bottom?
    Thanks

    • @AboutElectricity
      @AboutElectricity  5 лет назад

      jamir do you mean busbars at the bottom of the mcb's?

    • @AntKardano
      @AntKardano 5 лет назад

      yes, thanks for your reply.

    • @AboutElectricity
      @AboutElectricity  5 лет назад +1

      jamir there is no other option because live wire is going to the top of the RCD and then of the bottom it is linked with MCB's by busbar.Anyway,makes no odds to the MCB if its feed from top or bottom, it will still works.

    Nice illustration. Could the two 2P RCDs be replaced with a single 4P RCD?

      Let me quote some regs "Regulation 531.3.2 is another ‘new’ regulation that is intended to aid designers make better design decisions. This supports the principles of Regulation 314.1 (17th and 18th editions) which requires every installation to be divided into the number of circuits required to avoid danger and hazards caused by unwanted tripping of RCDs - a single fault should not cause the loss of power to groups of circuits".

    Hello Sir , initially really I'm very thankful of you for your very helpful video series , could you please answer these questions , about RCD and RCBO , it seems that RCBO is better than RCD because RCBO does somehow operation and in this way "save life of people" and also protect the devices such as TV and washing machines and so on , yes ?? So what is the difference between RCD and RCBO?? which one of them for home is better and most suitable ? each ones RCBO for TV and washing machine is needed separately ? each one should has which specifications/ amperage ? each RCBO can cover how many devices ? sorry a lot of questions !! I am contacting from Kiev in Ukraine and by answering my questions you will solve a lot of problems for me and at the same time it is a very big favor, Your fan , your supporter , Afshin Heydari

    • @AboutElectricity
      @AboutElectricity  5 лет назад +3

      Well RCBO is like RCD + MCCB. The problem with RCBO is when it trips you do not know if it is because of current leakage or short circuit.When using separate RCD and Mccb you know it straight away.

      RCBO's are great but they are very expensive. Easy to check overload switch off all power and measure resistance between active and neutral. Use definition of resistance to derive current. Or use a clamp current meter with power on.

  • @alanmainwaring1830

    I am puzzled in the final step surely the main neutral bar needs a link to Earth or does it??

    • @AboutElectricity
      @AboutElectricity  9 месяцев назад

      No, you don't link neutral to he earth bar.

    • @alanmainwaring1830
      @alanmainwaring1830 9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I realized that you guys in Britain have the outer sheaf of the incoming supply cable bonded to the main neutral
      of the supply which then goes to a local ground rod as well. This is not done in Australia the main neutral from suppy has to go to main neutral bar then is linked to Earth bar. I really like your diagram it is nice and clear.
