Many years ago, I used to work with friends as a mover for a side hustle. At times, we executed move outs from apartments like these in the city where we live. It was always the same story with our customers who were moving out. That story was as follows: The rent was too high! They tried to make it in places like this, but the cost just made it untenable. My friends and I always moved folks in these type of luxury apartments out to more moderately-priced apartments that gave them margin in their monthly budgets. That moving gig gave me an inside look at how folks "front" when it comes to how well they are supposedly doing. Like I said, it was all a front. I saw it from the inside. They had to be honest with my friends and I. They were figuratively "screaming" for relief from their financial burdens which all came from trying to live above their means. Now, all these years later, when I see people living in places like this, it always reminds me of what I saw back in the day moving folks out of places like this in this video.

Crazy as hell, paying 34 thousand dollars a year to live there and that doesn’t include utilities….
does the rent include utilities?
So much tech, what happens when the power goes out or the internet is down

When the power goes out you’ll have to use the stairs anyway so you probably don’t need your phone for that. If you do they might turn the tech off to let you be able to get up and down. My apartment has key fob entry for the doors, stairs, and elevators and that’s what they did for us during a hurricane. I also have keypad entry into my apartment and it still worked during the outage.
