Everyone experiences are different when it come to epidurals. I gave birth to 3 children without an epidural and 1 with an epidural and the natural births was the best. Yes there was pain but the after birth and care was far better.

Gia, it’s not about „wanting to feel the pain“ Thats not the point. It’s about feeling your body and work with the baby through the delivery process, our bodies were made for that. I had my two son’s with an epidural and 2 daughter natural and I can say that the deliveries with the epidural felt unnatural, can’t explain. Hugh difference.

For my natural birth, it wasn’t that I wanted to feel the pain, I just wasn’t afraid of the pain. Breathing my baby out was key to a painless birth, and I wish that for all other laboring women as well ♥️
I didn't know they still had/brought babies into nurseries. When I had my son 4 years ago he stayed in my room the entire time. So I figured they did away with nurseries.
31:00 In California the baby STAYS with the mom automatically (even before COVID). I think it’s a precaution…but my daughter stayed with me the whole time. You can however request for them to take the baby to the nursery if u want to rest

In the Hispanic culture we don’t show our baby because baby can get ojo. Meaning when someone sees your baby and doesn’t touch your baby your baby can become very fussy.
I know it’s a West Indian thing where they don’t show the baby’s face because they don’t want ppl to put blight on the baby before the baby has been blessed, covered aka christened
I don’t think it’s just because of COVID they have this thing called mother friendly hospitals and the baby stays with you. It’s been going on for a few years now, and to me it doesn’t make sense. It’s nothing mother friendly when I can’t rest because my baby is in my room 24 hours. I was scared I was going to drop my baby because I was so tired.
Hi Gia and Envy love y’all! Kingston is a cute name but I do understand the feeling of not wanting to burden the baby with a more masculine name. I grew up with the name Kendrick. I got made fun of a lot during my adolescence for being a girl with a guys name. Also I think people hide newborns faces because although all babies are cute at first they are alien and funny looking. I guess they’re trying to “safe face” but I’m with Envy, alien looking or not my baby cute so I have no shame. Congratulations on baby Peyton ♥️
