Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Price of Loyalty is the expansion to the 1996 release by developers New World Computing and John Van Caneghem, Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars. It is a turn-based, fantasy-style strategy game in which players develop settlements, build armies, and rely on the skills of their Heroes to battle other Heroes.

A simple way to improve would be to recruit more heroes. You spend so much time and movement on mundane resource collection tasks that a second (or third) hero could start doing from day 1, freeing up your primary hero for aggressive pushes and combat.
the necromancer castle had 'shrine' as a building option to build, what is it?
It's an expansion-only building (the only new building you can build from a castle in the expansion) which increases the Necromancy skill of all your Necromancers by +1. It doesn't affect Warlocks with Necromancy, just Necromancers, but it's a great way to get skeleswole.
