Thanks for the review. I do still offer these for sale. I have switched from using the optics that are being used in this Anglelux-XML in this review, primarily as they seem to dislodge a bit too easily. I am currently using a 26mm optics made by Carlco, which has an excellent beam as well.. The only way to order an Anglelux-XML is by contacting me by email, which is listed on my Elektrolumens web site. Thanks again for the nice review. Wayne Johnson
just got one of these preceding a trip: price has gone up substantially, but well within reason considering how much costs have gone up. perfectly happy with both its performance and the massive nostalgia-induced dopamine hit.
MAYBE you can mail your light to Wayne and have him upgrade it, but I'd email him and ask first. His email address is linked to his website. As far as getting the parts and doing it yourself, I'm afraid I don't really know. :(
Sorry I had to edit my original comment I meant to ask if the blue light will still highlight blood the way that the original incandescent bulb and blue lens did? I have seen some videos where they showed a side-by-side comparison and an incandescent bulb showed up better than the LED. Of course it doesn't show up very well on video as it does in person. I have the original as is angle head flashlight. As was said it's not very bright but it is tough not the bulb though. Just wanted to know before I commit to buying LEDs. I know that there are more expensive lights out there that are able to do an even better job of finding blood but I'd like to go as cheap as possible. I only ask because night hunts would go just a little bit better with a light able to do that. Also I'm being bothered by my friend who has a fascination with scorpions he says they glow under ultraviolet light and is wondering if the blue light on the flashlight would work for that. I haven't bothered to look for any with my flashlight and it's blue filter. I'm not especially fond of the things I tend to kill them when I see them
No worries. I honestly don't know if an LED would highlight the blood as well as an incandescent bulb or not. I've never been in a situation where I had to track blood with a flashlight, which I guess is a GOOD thing. O_o If you're concerned about it not working then I'd suggest not going the way of a permanent LED modification like in this video, but instead getting a drop-in LED upgrade so the LED and the bulb could swapped out as necessary with no modifications to the flashlight. I have a couple of videos about different drop-in LED upgrades if you're interested. I'm 99% sure the scorpion thing would NOT work, but I could be wrong about that. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
Floridian Idiot thanks for the reply! I appreciate your input. Even if it doesn't I have a soft spot for retro/military surplus items. Great video I'll tell my friend he may just want to get an ultraviolet light like crime scene investigators use in conjunction with luminol. It'd be a bit more expensive and maybe I'll just switch back to day hunting. Thanks again fantastic video!

Thanks very much for the new info, AND again for the excellent flashlight!

Good video. a question , where did you get the flashlight? Thanks for the review.
Directly from Wayne's website. Link is in the description.
So how does one go about buying this upgrade for a Fulton I already own? The bulb and lens looks like the best way to upgrade my Fulton.

But yes, for upgrading a Fulton, this is definitely the way to go.
Floridian Idiot I order the bulb for now, should be a bit of an upgrade.
Still uses 2 D batteries ?
Yes it does. I forgot to mention that in the video. Sorry for the late reply.
Oh that is cool.
