Arians used to be good machines, the older ones anyway. But now they are made cheaper using thinner metal, switching to plastic parts and using cables that break instead of steel rods for controls like the older models. I now have an old Toro (34 years old) and wouldn't trade it for anything new. If the engine ever gets tired (no signs of that yet) I'll go buy a new one. The new stuff is crap and won't hold up without a lot of replacement parts.
Yeah that is interesting. The ariens friction disk on the auto turns go after 3-5 years too. Kinda labor intensive to swap out. I wonder if Honda quality shit the bed as well since it’s now made in USA Vs made in Japan. They switched over in 2015. Another thing is on my older Honda it never clogged. This newer one does a bit. Honda said it’s normal but I don’t think so. They messed up with the design there.
I think guys end up cutting that raised collar on the discharge chute....since those tend to clog up. not sure, Iam a ariens Hater..LOL but you did good selling it for 1100 after running it for a few years. I deff see the advantage of wheels, easier to turn.
Yeah didn’t feel like buying another track model. Not with the small storm we get last years. I wanted different. I had opportunity to get track 1332 with 17 miles for $2099 but skipped out
Wow you stole that machine. This storm was such a bust. Have a brand new hss928aatd track unit wanted to test out but got only minimal snow. My old hs622ta machine would have been fine. I do need composite skid shoes. Mine has the chute collar update. Turns easy with the triggers. It’s a beast. Enjoy. Hopefully some real snow shows up.
@@appleztooranges compare then do the #92 main jet upgrade on the 928 and compare again. I’m in the process of ordering the jet which folks are saying is transformative.
Congrats, you have made a real good decision. One thing you may need, to fill all the bells and whistles , is heated hand grips, then you'll have it all, oh yes and the best snow blower.Best of luck.
I sold my 928 track model and am looking for an Ariens SHO.. The 928 Honda is underpowered. Moves too slow and a real hassle to turn..
Yeah tracks are a bit slower. Did you have the older model or newer?
Thats too bad.
You like Ariens better?

I hope so. We shall see tomorrow lol
looks like a great machine at a great price

ariens to honda, good move bro. ariens to toro, hell no bro. nice snow throwers.
Lol 😂
Do a night video, I would like to see how bright the lights are on both Hondas. Nice buy/sell for $500
Thanks. Okay will do!
@@appleztooranges U r so lucky that u are getting a storm. How many inches? ❄︎

That’s a steal for 1500
Thanks! I thought so

@@dodgefree1400 not a bad idea. I assume the keys are cheap too
Good decision.
Now I’m thinking of selling this and buying the 1332 haha! Never ends!
