Go sub to his RUclips then.
I think we all knew it he is a good bloke
Shame the host’s a prick isn’t it.
I love this guy
Met him once many years ago, friendly and nice bloke.

Media portrays Ronaldo as an arrogant monster because he sets high levels and always wants to win but whenever you speak to ex team mates who know him better than anyone else they never have a bad word to say about him. Heard he doesn’t have tattoos aswell so he can donate blood
You can donate blood with tattoos as well.
@@raduboboc8556 fair play, didn’t know that 👍
@@OnlineViewingOnly yup though you’d have to wait about 6 months after you get a tattoo I believe
tattoos suck
Na, the media loves him in general but he does come across as arrogant on the pitch. Heard from enough people that's not a fair reflection of who he is. Clearly he's a decent guy.
Plenty of players transform once they get on the pitch a bit, it's just the desire to win.
His dad died of alcoholism that’s why he doesn’t drink also

Ronaldo's winning mentality is on a different level...he is a perfect example for everyone who wants to achieve something in life !!!
Literally every person that talks about him "first guy to come and last one to leave" it's incredible how motivated the guy was and still is to achieve the best
And here I thought life is for everybody.
Petulant eurotrash man-baby who pouts when his teammates score, actually.
If Ben made his own podcast it would be mental he defo has a lot of calm stories and could get amazing people on it

Cycling GK the most down to earth footballer, such a great funny guy. One of my favourite guests.
Being a West Brom fan and growing up having Ben being our gk my whole life pretty much he is and will forever be my favourite keeper met him twice and probably the nicest footballer I’ve met!
Yeah exactly mate, I've had a photo with him when I was 7. Fabulous bloke!
Ooooo
Scholes was different gravy
England mistreated him so much, didn’t realise they had a generational talent in him
They also did with gerrard and lampard, just a shame they were mis managed
@@seankavanagh8720 they never put a proper defensive force behind them, carrick should have got so many more caps than he did
England still get mismanagement. FA recruitment policy is terrible.
He started for England? He wasn’t surrounded by the best players in the world so it shows how good he really is! Not that good....
Probably the most gifted midfielder England ever had in terms of talent. For me he was on that elegant maestro level like Pirlo and Xavi but Scholes could also tackle and play aggresive.
Ben defo seems like the type of bloke who would love the sesh if he wasn’t a footballer
Ben Foster is a Legend! Carling Cup Hero for the Blues and even more importantly a top, top guy.
He is a pleasure to have him here at watford fc
Sam Skordi he’s a genuine role model in more than the sporting sense. Need more people with Ben’s class in the world.

Ronaldo to me tells me there is something that some people get born with that makes them better than other people. Someone who grinds so hard to be the best at what he does, who doesn’t get tired or let laziness set in, someone who doesn’t ever procrastinate. That kind of work ethic is something I could never have, it’s got to be something you’re born with.
Of course you can't have it if that's your mindset. It's possible for anyone, just look at David Goggins.
I always questioned since my childhood whether hard work itself is a talent and that would change so many narratives and psychology around people.
It's nature via nurture. His dad helped him work for that. I was always very motivated, but my parents used to sabotage me, run my confidence down & never gave me any support at all. I've also seen unmotivated friends do quite well for themselves because parents pushed them in the right way.
@@_sayan_roy_ it's all skill. Perhaps some things may be nature-tuned, but you can strive to be better at anything
Hard work is a talent.
The Scholes story iirc is that Ronaldo was doing all the tricks in training and showing off a bit. Scholes apparently said, "See that tree over there? ", pointing to a tree 30/40m away, "See if you can hit it with the ball from here". So, Ronaldo tries & misses several times. About the 10th attempt he hits it & is pleased with himself. So Scholes gets the ball & pings it straight onto the tree - first time and Ronaldo is speechless.
As a West Brom fan I met Ben at the hawthorns and he is such a great man. He signed my programme and took a photo with me. Always has time for fans 🤩👍🏻
100% nicest footballer to meet

I think you'd struggle to find someone who's watched his videos, who doesnt like ben. Just the most likeable and positive person. World needs more CyclingGK's
Wow. Ben Foster is so humble, and such an open and likeable guy.
Met him a few years ago while working when he was at West Brom, never been a fan of any clubs he’s played for, but became a fan of his after a short conversation. Talked about football, who they were playing on the weekend etc. Absolute gentleman, glad that everyone seems to have the same experience as I did when meeting him.
I would like to meet him as well.
As a Baggies fan I had the joy of having Ben on my team for the best part of a decade. Fantastic person, fantastic GK and I hope he continues having great success!
His Assist to Wazza against AC Milan in 2007. Its imprinted in my brain!! Just Amazing
Ben’s the nicest chap in football honestly. Guys so humble and kind yet uses his name and platform so effectively to promote great causes and bring a smile to people’s faces. Amazing for the game, hopefully he stays involved in some capacity after retirement!!
Came for the Ronaldo story, stayed for the Scholes love-in ❤️
the fact that sven couldn't fit gerrard scholes and lampard all in a starting 5 midfield still eats me up
5 centre mids in 1 team?
@@alanrobinson7891 that's 3 🤔
@@JD-vq7ln yes but your comment said in a starting 5 centre mid, that's why I asked 5 centre mids. Sven usually played Beckham on the right of midfield, Joe Cole on the left, to add in 5 centre mids would make 7 midfielders, doesn't leave much for defenders or strikers
@@alanrobinson7891 combine that with Michael Owen upfront, young Rooney on the bench and Ashley Cole, John Terry ,Rio ferdinand and Gary Neville and David James and that should be your starting 11
Didn't mean 5 centre mids 🙄
Why is he so much better than the rest of you?
He panics the least under pressure.
His drive and passion is class.
He sees it as he is just playing football again. Doesn't care about if it's home or away it's just another game. World class mind set and he has proven this year in year out for many of years.
Most of people don't have a clue. He is an amazing guy and as footballer.......no words...I..... was lucky to see him playing while I was seating on the bench in an international between Portugal and Sweden 2004 , April/May when he was 19 years old, his 2nd cap for Portugal. Scolari threatened him and Miguel Veloso that if he didn't give 110% in the national team they wouldn't be selected to the finals in 2004( Scolari didn't say the names but...I know that he was aiming at them), CR was starting to explode in United and was maybe a bit over confidente that he had a guaranteed place in the squad.....Scolari was good to put players in the right mind. Man!! CR came in the 2nd half for Figo´s place and I promise I never seen something even close from his talent, Physicality and speed. He was playing on the right wing side just by the Sub´s bench where I was sitting. I swear that I could hear when he was galloping and dribbling pass the Swedish players. Seen by the sub's bench Figo, Zizou, Ronaldo( phenomenon), Rui Costa, Beckham, Zlatan and they were all great but nothing in the same league as CR, he is unique. For me the GOAT no doubt!
I met Maradona's brother, Hugo, and he said the same thing about Maradona. He was out from dawn til dusk practicing. The God given talent is the appetite for practice and the perfectionism that drives them. They envision a level beyond what most people think is possible and then aspire to it and put the work in to get there.
Maradona was probably more gifted than messi but drugs and depression ruined his career
@@abdirahmanidris290 Messi comes from a better background and was lucky enough to be taken on by Barcelona as a boy and have parents with some level of education. Maradona came from the absolute ghetto of Buenos Aires. His brother was a bit of a tit actually but I would put that down to having come from abject poverty with the complexes that can can cause ( and being from Buenos Aires too ).
Its also raw talent aswell. You have to have the innate specialness within you aswell as otherwise no amount of practise and perfectionism will get you there. It will just maximise what you have.
Ben Foster is such a down to earth and warm human being, mad respect and love to him.
Love it when guests come on here and realise it's the anecdotes and little stories that are some of most the interesting
I hate when people point out how hard Ronaldo's had to work to get where he is ( as opposed to Messi, who doesn't train at all, or go to the gym)
Love listening to these clips. Ben Foster's a top man, so open and down to earth

Just saying Ronaldo played in both champions league finals, 120 mins 2008 90 mins 2009
I was thinking this
What a legend. Always been a solid keeper aswell.
Thoroughly enjoyed and I'm not even a Man United fan! What a lovely open and honest bloke. We need more of these and this bridges the gap between what football has become against the 'ordinary 'man' on the street'.
I knew he wouldn't say something bad about ronaldo, ronaldo is like the pinnacle
Love hearing these little insights of footballers, top bloke for a top podcast
Very humble and likeable man
A guy who i would love to have a drink with. Many respects ⚒⚒
I don't think there's a UCL final where Ronaldo played only 20 minutes. Either it's UCL final and he played full or your initial story where he had a cameo in a UCL non final match. Both would be amazing stories especially the former. Imagine a season ending final of UCL and going to gym right after and he won five out of his six as well, and if he did it after a UCL victory then it's mind-blowingly amazing.
Best guest yet. The cycling gk 💪🏻 🚴
Wow Ben Foster, it's an amazing share from one who really knows Cristiano. Inspirational, concerned team mate, a fine bloke he is. I think it's pretty special not to entertain a drink a sip or a lick of alcohol or drugs.
Didn't know much about Ben other than his playing career. What a great bloke he seems to be, really enjoyed these stories.
So nice to hear from Ben, he was great servant of the Club I love Man UtD.. He is doing great for Watford n I am happy for him.
he doesn't drink cuz his dad had problems with alcohol
Most people do that my step mum got heart failure and liver problems off drinking all the time when I was kid now I grown up I just stick to weed I’ll have a drink every now and again so I don’t feel left out at party’s but nothing special alcohols really bad for you you don’t understand the stuff it does until a few years later
Reminds me of one of my friends who was a heavy drinker......his father was one aswell till he passed away with liver which was alcohol related
After that he hasnt touched a droplet ....been over 2 years if i remember correct
It does have a knock on effect on some

The difference between Rooney and Ronaldo = CR7 worked really hard, doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, sleeps long hours, keeps screen time down to an hour or less a day, eats a regimented diet.
Rooney = cigs, prossies and fry ups.
Hence Wayne being finished as a top player by 28 and Ronaldo being top scorer in Italy at 36.
Agree apart from rooneys career ended when he was about 18-19. He joined Manchester United and never really tried to dribble the ball again. Became a David batty. I always wonder what he could have been had he not made that mistake.
Imagine Wayne Rooney with the mindset of Ronaldo. Just hardcore training, dieting and recovery. He would probably still be playing for United right now.
Bring Lord Lingardinho to the podcast it would be sick... He is also in a great form
Best one yet jack!!!
