2wingo I agree with Japanese, but in English? I mean look at his fucking grin! How he can even make calm proclamation instead of bloodthirsty cry? I really don't understand why English voice actors so afraid to go all out compared to Japanese ones.
whats scarier, having a devilish grin and someone being calm while killing you, or someone being a blood thirsty monster? i think the opponent being calm is scarier
Dr. Eggman They aren't aftaid. There's a difference between how English and Japanese voice actors act. Japan is based around Japanese theater, which has large and over the top exaggerations. English is based around classical European theater and American film, based on making a character feel like a real person whatever that entails. If the character is a psychopath, he is calm, cool and collected. This is how the English Dubbers go into it thinking. The Japanese are about overreacting and getting loud because that's how Japanese theater is. I personally prefer the English approach and on occasion have to avoid Subs due to the unbelievably ridiculous exaggerations.
Dr. Eggman Though there are actors that love to over exaggerate. Just look at Crispin Freeman as Alucard in this, Naruto's Dub, Baccano's Dub, and Code Geass if you're into "all out" voice acting.
Dub for father Anderson sound pretty good, if you watch Japanese he sound madman Edit: this anime I first seen it when I was 6 until I was 10 I watched this few episodes on yt can't find full episodes, later until I was 14 then I found where I can watch full episodes which I did. I have watched this three or four times it was good and underrated
@@medianxx4687 It's not just British, pretty sure the whole cast of the series is pretty diverse in Europeans, aside from that one Brazilian and a few Americans
This is what I hear
"Almond"
"Ayyyyyyman"
The fact that in the english dub he says Amen with a more latin pronunciation make It even more cool.
I like both but the English sounds more seroius and the Japanese sounds more crazy
English : Normal Japanese : Fucking Crazy !
The English dub sounds like a pure bad-ass,the Japanese dub sounds like some freak who's about to snap.
Both are valid interpretations of Anderson's character.
