the colour of the brush isnt changing and its just making it transparent the backgrond or white

Where can I find the template?
My guy thank you for this break down it helped so so so much! my only question is that i am using photopea and when i use the pen tool i have no idea how to actually cut out the image that i selected. nothing seems to be working. what was the ctrl+?? i tried j and it didnt work and i tried g but that just created a subfolder in my layers. i have been having issues with this for weeks. any pointers on that would be super helpful.

You never mentioned how you add the color to the circle for the kill icon.You just did it without saying anything.
huh? it adds it itself lol, you dont make a selection you make an object, you probably have the wrong thing selected
