- The 2nd day of our Arkansas trip up to Byrd's Adventure Center just north of Ozark Arkansas. The park borders the Ozark - St. Francis National Forest and runs along side the Mulberry River. Byrd's is one of our favorite places to stay at.
In this video we compare the new 35x10x15 XC450 tires from System3 Off-Road against some 35x10x15 Maxxis Roxxzillas and some 35x10x15 System3 XTR370's.
Make sure you check out the video from the first day of our trip and please like and subscribe to our channel for more videos like these! #canam #polaris #offroad
Huge thanks to you guys. Got a new rr x3 and first upgrade will be tires. You have every one that's on the radar, 370s, terra masters, xc450s, zillas among others. Thanks for the video
Thank you for the thank you 🫡
We went for the fall crawl ,pretty neat place. Hitting up marbel falls this weekend.
Very nice. Hopefully some warmer weather and not too much dust for y’all at hidden falls next weekend 🤙
Great video those look like some fun trails! The XCR350's do really good on rocks and hard pack terrain. Even decent in all sand plus they are lighter weight and soft compound. Just pure looks I like the XC450
Ran 350s a couple years back. Definitely better tires out there
@slewcrewoffroad What didnt you like about them? I ride rocky trails and desert.
@Ride-Fly they have a hump in the middle of them that makes them not find traction unless you run them super low at like 4 psi, they wear really fast for being a standard compound, and they don’t measure true to size. I ran a 35 and they measured a little over 33 around 7 psi. They are really light though but that goes along with not measuring true to size
You were right! I liked the next video. I agree the 450s needed to be sticky. If I’m looking for a tire along those lines, Zillas are the way to go. However, with the amount of mud, clay, and loose dirt I encounter, I’m definitely going with 370s. Great video as always guys! 🤙🏻
Much appreciated. We agree that the 370s are the way to go as a all around tire. We’ve got another video from a while back comparing the 370s vs zillas in some different terrain where the go climb for climb no problem
@@slewcrewoffroad that video and your Zillas in mud video is how I found you guys! Also why I first started considering the 370s
Really thought it was gonna be muddier whenever we were heading out for that trip but was pretty dry. There was only one time we got the zillas in some sloppy mud and of course we didn’t get any video of them spinning
You guys make great videos. I don’t think it’ll be long before y’all grow in subs! 👍🏼
Appreciate it 🤞
How are the 450's holding up after about a year? Planning on a few upgrades before we come back to CrossBar and looking for new tires we do mostly trail stuff with some rocks and want something tough with good longevity.
Very niiice. The roxzillas still shined it seemed like. Love the idea of a 10 ply on the 450s though.
Will anyone come out with tires that can compete with the zillas?
370 seems like the best all round tire to me. In texas we get mud, rock, sand and whatever else you want. I’d rather have a true well rounded tire than a rock specific tire. Just an opinion.
I hear ya. We’re from Texas too. We love the versatility of the 370
I guess that answered my question about the zillas, that sucks about the drive shaft
Win some you lose some 😅
What kind of clutching do you use for set ups like that?
Bummer about the drive shaft man! I agree they are a pain in the ass when they seize up like that.
Think it bent the bolt in the u joint whenever the shaft broke. Just been walking by it sitting in the garage pretending like it didn’t happen lol
@@slewcrewoffroad you going to go back with a factory shaft?
Nah Ethan’s been running a rhino driveshaft/carrier bearing with good luck so gonna give one of those a shot
@SlewCrew Off-Road Was debating on the shaft. My initial thought was to leave it as the weak point. I think I'd rather Change that than other parts. How much of a bind did it take to break it?
Yeah the stock shafts are just super weak though. You can hear it pop in the video of that last hill if you listen closely. It just took that one little shot landing under throttle for it to break in half like that.
I've recently switched from 370s to 450s, and from watching you video, I get the same results as you and feel like they are very comparable. If S3 would produce this tire with a softer compound, I think it would be lights out for the Zillas.
Yeah seems like they were really shooting for durability with the 450s with how hard the compound is and being a 10 ply tire. Wish they’d come out with a standard and sticky compound like you’re saying
They should have made the 450s in a sticky.
Agreed. Really thought system3 was gonna come out with a sticky the way they were hyping up the 450s before their release 🤷♂️
Honestly I have a set of xtr 370s on my x3 and I go way more places with way less trouble then my buddies do with everything they run
Sounds like your buddies made the wrong decision on tire choice! 370s FTW!
How well did these tires hold up? I ride a lot of hardpack.
Durability and longevity are their strong suit. Being a hard 10 ply
Toothpick-sized parts is not bad luck, its just a matter of "when" its gonna go. Don't know how you Can am and Polaris guys put up with it. Ya'll all need a KRX. "But a KRX is slow," well put you a Kraft works supercharger kit on it for about 1/3rd the $$ you spend to keep the can am polaris stuff from breaking, and have best of both worlds.
Dang somebody else breaking their own machine really got you heated huh
@@slewcrewoffroad Yea it does every time. Can and Pol are pulling the wool over everybody's eyes making these things weak. I hate seeing that. KRXs aint perfect but just look at Diffs, ball-joint, tie rod ends, axles, etc etc size comparisons and its shocking. KRXs are built at just the minimum (should even be beefier) far as I'm concerned, the others are too small and lite duty.
How loud are they on regular street rides ?
Very quiet
killer
i gave this one a thumbs up
my trailing arms did not
High clearance trailing arms FTW
