I hope this setup guide for the Elgato 4k X was useful. Have you tried this capture device? Here is the Amazon link (commissions earned) ➡ geni.us/mDnX
@@DullsRUclips SHould work fine. If you are capturing the same PC as the Elgato is installed on, run a HDMI cable from your graphics card to the IN port on the Elgato. Then an HDMI cable from the OUT port to your monitor.
I need to know because I'm not good with these things. To capture your gameplay with sound and VoiceOver, is there a way to do it without needing the chat link pro cable? I recently bought the elgato 4k x and tried using it but couldn't figure out how to have the sound on from my game. Im using it for my Nintendo switch. Also, to do voice over while playing, where do I put my microphone of preference to record with in the options? Hope you can help. Also, thanks for answering something I was trying to find out, the other HDMI cable option is optional and no one else was mentioning that. I only wanted to use it with my Mac and not have to plug it to my tv or a monitor (since I don't have one)
the 4K x natively captures the consoles audio you don’t need a chat link unless you wanna capture game chat as well thankfully as for the audio on your own end in OBS you just need to change the output setting for the capture card itself

Hey. I have this capture card and works great on my PS5. I would like to use it to capture pc gameplay. Is this possible with this card?
