SEIKO SRPE 93 TURTLE REVIEW
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 21 дек 2021
- Hey Watch Peeps! In the video I take a closer look at the SEIKO SRPE93 TURTLE. This watch may be the best diver in the Seiko line up OR ever! Just a perfect bog legible diver that wears very well on all wrists due to it's short lug to lug distance. It's a great dive watch. What do you think? Please consider liking and SUBSCRIBING and remember ......never stop WINDING CROWNS!
One of the all time classics. In my opinion it's now a much better value than the SKX. Thanks for the review!
Thank you Sir. I do agree with you 100% It is a much much better value now.
Great review! I’ve been diving with my 777 for years. Never misses a beat and never leaks. Definitely the best dive watch for the money.
I agree wholeheartedly. Perfect dive watch. Perfect watch period. Does everything and more. The small lug to lug makes it comfy and wearable on most wrists.
You can never have too many seikos. Very nice.
Absolutely right James. 😂
It's also about the lume next to the date window at 3 o'clock. It's part of the new instructions in order to get ISO certified. That's why they changed the reference number. Anyway a Turtle is a Turtle. It will always be one of SEIKO 's best offers.
Absolutely. I did a short review of the King Turtle grenade dial. Great watch. It has the lume plot at 3 o'clock. You're correct about the new ISO certification. 👍
I have 6 turtle watches, this one has to be the best as far as chapter ring alignment, lume and accuracy. The two king turtles I own have problems with accuracy with the 4r36 movement. This one has not lost any time after two weeks on the wrist, it is an MIJ model.
6 turtles?!! Wow that's great. Love the turtles. Glad to hear this very model is serving you well. Thank you very much for watching.
I honestly think the MIJ models are better. All my Seiko watches made in Japan are COSC accurate and those that are not are 12-20 sec/day slow.
@@leonidaslantz5249 The King Turtles do are available from Japan I think, not sure though. The models I purchased were from Seiko USA from my local jeweler in Los Angeles area, the look great cosmetically, but the time drift is a bummer. And sending something to Seiko in New Jersey is risky with all the postal chaos and stuff disappearing. I may regulate the watch myself using timegrapher.
Awesome watch mate, this one never gets old!
I agree🙏🙏🙏
I love Seiko turtles. All I have is a Steeldive homey at the moment, I want to get the padi version Pepsi dial. Great review as always Hector!
Thanks Chris. The Padi version is great and comes with the bracelet. 👍
@@WINDINGCROWNS it’s currently for sale at Marc’s Long Island watch, it discount for sale but on sale, should have said on sale,
I've got two Steeldive watches. They are excellent. 👌
@@donnyboon2896 funny you mention steel dive. Just recieved the Cpt. Willard 1970 Steel Dive. Vid coming soon. Btw. Love the watch 😍👍
Nice watch,, good 👍🏼 review.
Thanks Jud. 🙏
Thanks for explaining the difference between the j and k on this model, best explanation I’ve seen
🙏🙏🙏🙏thanks Matt. I appreciate your support my friend.
Picked mine up 2 weeks ago at the Marine Corps Exchange, Marine Corps Base Quantico
$295 on sale no tax 🇺🇸
Wow! Congrats. That's a fantastic price. Wear it in good health.
One of my all time fave Seiko divers. Thanks Hector 👍
Thanks for watching Bob! 🙏
Seiko SRP777 to me love this watch definitely worth it IMO 👌
Its definitely a great dive watch. Thanks for watching.
Simply beautiful watch
Thanks. I should have a king turtle (khaki green grenade dial) soon!
I'm really liking that 4oclock crown nice touch that makes it look very different.
Indeed. Love the 4 o'clock crown.
I have the PADI version, I love it. Amazing watch.
I love the PADI version. Beautiful watch
i have the srp777 version and one of the lug holes is oversized and even the fat spring bars have a little play in that particular hole. I couldn't see it right on yours but it seems like yours has one hole bigger than others. Could you check that out ?
It shouldn't have that issue but I have heard of this before. Kinda common from what I've heard.
That's not the new model. The new one has a lume pip at 3 o'clock, this was done to conform to the latest ISO standards for dive watches. This is indeed a factory Frankenstein consisting of old dial and new case back, possibly new case size of 45mm and mineral glass as opposed to the 777 44.5mm.
I know that the SRPE 93 is the newer version of the 777. Both have no lume plot at 3. I am curious. Please send me a link. I want to check it out! Thanks. I would like to review one. Btw are you referring to the latest release of the newest Cpt. Willard with the date window between 4 and 5 o clock? That watch has a lume pip at 3 o clock BUT that design is not considered a turtle. Those are the willard cases. They are their own thing and sell as different watches. The willard are way more money. Here is my buddy Rob showcasing the new Willard. The previous older Willard had 3 o clock date window. Both versions of the willard have 20mm lug width. All Turtles have 22mm lug width spacing. ruclips.net/video/LZEAnaC5KwY/видео.html
@@WINDINGCROWNS I'm referring to the SRPE93 which is the upgraded 777. I'm wearing it. I bought it today. SRP777 was discontinued due to updated ISO standards which requires a lume pip at 3 o'clock. As I said there are factory Frankensteins, they are genuine Seiko watches, yet they are not in line with ISO update, which is the entire purpose of the new models. If you search for SRP777 Vs SRPE93 You will find many detailed threads with picture comparisons and discussions on this topic.
@@dontbelieveeverythingyouth8173 okay. I I knew the part number had changed and the model number. It doesnt say air diver. But I want to check one out with the lume at 3.
@@dontbelieveeverythingyouth8173 I finally found something about it. Just one thing in Watchuseek. I can't believe not 1 single person owns/reviewed one on YT yet. They must not be very many out in the market place yet. I would like one though.
@@WINDINGCROWNS I am a huge seikopath, mostly for marine masters of which I own a few. I have always wanted a Turtle but held out knowing that they were upgrading to the newer version because I wanted mineral glass instead of hardlex given that I would have modified a 777 to sapphire. The finishing has been somewhat refined as well, much nicer brushing. The indicies also have a more noticeable and detailed polished border which gives the dial a more premium look but it's nothing like the indicies of the high end Seikos, though it is a nice touch.
Seiko 👍🏻
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Does it have kanji day wheel option ?
Only the JDM versions
So, this is like the Seiko King Turtle with the grenade dial, but this is a flat/plain dial and no magnifier instead. Is that correct?
Also doesn't have the sapphire crystal. I am thinking of getting the King Samurai
Great timepiece
Thanks. I agree 100%
my srpe93 has a lume marker beside the day date... could this just be a 777 J model? or are there some variations even with identical model numbers?
Lucky. You have the lume marker next to date. The one I have has no lume by date but is tagged srpe93 and also has newer case back. Doesn't say air diver.
@@WINDINGCROWNS gotcha, thanks! Beautiful watch with or without that 3:00 lume marker! Great content BTW!
@@drewlawrence5289 thanks Drew. I appreciate your support 🙏
❤❤❤I love this watch CN I have
👍👍👍👍👍
Hey thank you for your content. What Kind of watch is laying in the Back with the Bronze Case?
That's a Boldr Odyssey Bronze. Big , Bold and thick.
@@WINDINGCROWNS thank you. Boldr is a "better" Microbrand from the Microbrand universe, very similiar to another "better" Microbrand like zelos. Right?
@@brunoschoelkopf9174 I would agree.
@@WINDINGCROWNS thanks for your opinion. I appreciate it. Now, I will Look for a Boldr watch. Not so popular and Not so easy to get Here in Germany 👍😄
Is that a endura in the back?
Yes. Spyderco Endura. Good eye
I love my 93J8. But the keeper, while stylish, is ineffective in doing its job. I replaced the strap with a bond nato. For now. I'm considering a Tropic strap.
🙏🙏🙏🙏
I guess now the SRP777 is now the SRPE93,
Yup. Changed to srpe93. Same great watch.
My SRPE93 serial number is only 93 watches from yours, enjoy!
Haha! Good eye! Wow. Enjoy yours too JP. Thanks for watching.
This is a spr777j1(made in japan).The srpe93 has a lumepip at 3 o'clock.
It came from Seiko with boxes and hang tags all labeled SRPE93 and with the newer case back. 🤔
So confused, 93 should have marker at 3
@@frshtrds they day it should have marker at 3 BUT this came direct from Seiko and clearly has newer case back that doesnt say air diver. Hang tag says SRPE93
Where did you buy it if i may ask.
I believe this one was through Mimos of Long Beach CA
@WINDINGCROWNS Thank you ,it's just not easy to get the J version.
Questo modello non ha il dot luminescente a ore 3,quindi non è certificato ISO???
Yes. It is ISO certified to the old specs. The new ISO requires the lume at 3
There is no lume at 3. Is this a 777 ?
No. I have owned the older 777. It said air diver on case back. This does not. Its like a transitional. Missing the lume at 3
It's ugly yet I love it. Weird. I also think the sea Master 300M and Tudor dive watches are ugly at first glance. Yet they grow on you after a few days. The brain is so weird in that way.
I understand what you mean. 😂 That's kinda the attraction to it. It big and bold and that makes it cool. Lol. I have a King Turtle grenade dial on the way. Vid coming soon. A Breitling Avenger Seawolf yellow dial vid as well.
@@WINDINGCROWNS....Hi, do you still wear your Seiko gren turtle with waffle pattern dual?
Is that your Favorite?
Def trying to decide between The seiko divers in this video vs the Seiko Green turtle.
Thanks,
Bill
@@williamstalvey6920 😂 funny you mention the green King Turtle! I ended up selling it and just bought it again. 😂 It arrives Saturday. If you want a discount from Mimo of Long Beach California. He is an Authorized Seiko Dealer. Mention me and get a discount. 👍
@@WINDINGCROWNS .....that is great, I'm leaning towards that Green Turtle....
I will, write down that and mention you, once I purchase one....I do prefer Authorized dealers.
I just need 2 Sell my Seiko Gold turtle 1st....
Thanks!
Bill
@@williamstalvey6920 great! You will absolutely love the Green Grenade King Turtle. I don't get any kickback or anything like that BUT I love helping viewers out and helping great small businesses like Mimo's. He is a super nice guy.
Hi
Is this the same as the srp777 ? Is this better or worst ?
which one would you keep and get between these two. Turtle or skx007 ?
Thank you
Hi there Richard. Basically the same as SRP777. The turtle movement hacks and hand winds so movement is way better than the SKX007. However the 007 is now discontinued and getting cult status.
thank you for responding back
@@richardbosh4522 you are very welcome Richard. Thanks for watching
I love that watch hahhaha ,,,but I have no hehehehehe
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Your wrist size?
7.5 inches. 😁👍
I wish watches weren't invented
Yes. I know. Expensive hobby 😭
Nice watch, ... total watch porn here... lol. 🤤
True watch guy right there, didn't peel off the case back Sticker.
I usually wear them till they fall off and then I clean them with isopropyl alcohol and place it back on. No scuffs on that seiko tsunami. 👍🏽
😂 I'm glad someone appreciates a nice protected scratch free case back. I like my watches to stay nice. 😁
i love that watch SRP777J1 how much that.?
Amazon had them for $370
Mark my words these are the new 6309s and such. In less than 20 years srp777 and these will be around 4 and 600 usd or more if NOS. trust me
Rusty you might be right. Look at what happened with the SKX. They're not cheap anymore.
@@WINDINGCROWNS Indeed.
In 20 years I'd say the SRP777's and SRPE93's will be in four digit figures NOS or even used.
Amma but I have no more wacht hehehhehe
😂
Nice turtle but that's a srpe777.
That's what I thought. It is AD sourced with box tagged SRPE 93 and hang tag
