I just like to add, that Malte used to be part of the band (he is now 'Beachpeople') while Sophie plays the tours (she is not on the albums)... she is great though (actually belongs to another German band, I think)
When I see Henning there with his hands on his back (while singing), I always think of my grandpa, cause he does this while walking through his garden. It's such an old peoples habit, to do so! 😅 (My nephew did it too, when he was around 2 or 3 years old and looked like an old men while doing this 🤣)
I have actually always thought that they have a punk-ish vibe in their music, especially in their older stuff, like the album Alles nix konkretes. Henning had that angry young man attitude back then, and the way he used to spit the lyrics out reminded me of some of my favorite punk bands (I used to listen to punk rock a lot). The way they evolved from that to this jazzy-folkish-stadium rock band is just amazing to listen & watch.
When AMK we're the supporting act of the Beatsteaks they played in Berlin Wuhlheide (it's a big open air terrain) You can see the arena behind them ;-) in this video ... Greetings from Berlin
