- Hey guys and welcome to todays video on the Top 10 Challenges in Super Mario Odyssey!!! This video goes through some of the best achievements in the game and displays some very impressive feats that my fellow youtubers have achieved!!! NJOY!
Challenge Idea:
1. Start a new game
2. Hack yourself in an Invisibility Cap as soon as you have access to a closet
3. Play through the entire rest of the game as Invisi-Mario
4:50 the devs didnt forget anything, thats a very difficult thing called instant roll cancel clipping and is extremely precise. It is 5 inputs done in under half a second. dont but it lightly. It can also be used to clip into the inverted pyramid early, in snow to skip the barriers and go to the bound bowl, and on version 1.0, you can use it to clip into the sphynx. These are only the ones that save time in speedruns, there are tons of over places you can do this (probably)
Hey I was watching thru this years later but he’s showing footage of an instant roll cancel clip but explaining a different part where you can just ground point thru the ground and get that moon in cascade if you watch a 1.0 speed run they’ll do this to save time by skipping the cutscene

The hardest painting skip isn't in the lake kingdom but in the snow kingdom

2:15 I’m sorry if I misunderstood what you meant but you said “they allow you to skip portions of the game because they warp to other kingdoms” that’s not the case, when you haven’t reached that kingdom regularly yet the paintings are grayed out

Tomato Icecream this must’ve been changed. I got from sand kingdom to metro kingdom on my first play through when i hadn’t gotten past the sand kingdom
@@spencergrout6320 some still work, but the ones that would let you reach the rest of the kingdome vai The painting are grayed out

That isn’t a 100% true either. The paintings are grayed out at first, but once you beat the boss or do the thing you’re supposed to do in that kingdom, the painting is no longer grayed out. I have reached most of my kingdoms by painting, and that’s almost always before having been to that kingdom at all.

2:12 no they won’t. If you go through one of those paintings early in your play through, you can’t go to the odyssey in that kingdom and have to complete the kingdoms you “skipped” to continue your play through.
8:13 Cappy roll jumping is a better method

I literally thought of the strangest idea for SMO2.
This part makes sense, but...
In SMO1, they don't really travel all of everything, so maybe there could be some other stuff thrown in there.
Maybe something similar to the United Kingdom could work.
The traveled location being Edlondiff, maybe similar locations to the capitals of Scotland, England, and Wales.
(Edinburgh, London, and Cardiff)
And maybe also some matching outfits to (out)fit the three locations.
I thought I was the only one that thought of United Kingdom 🇬🇧!

In darker side you can skip the moving platform section by right next to the scarecrow do a ground pound, then a down throw to activate, and since you did a ground pound you hang on to the edge as it takes you to the top
I've done the dark side impossible jump. I got super lucky

A lot of those are easy + #10 is technically probably the hardest depending on the context...
Timpani was the first to get all 880 moons damageless and Fir second, doing it much faster in 9:42:40.
Nobody else has ever done this.
#1 Is either tied for the hardest or the hardest on this list.
There are some absolute gods at trickjumping, Mario Man pulled off a before TAS only trick recently, being the first to do so, but not the hardest jump he's ever done probably, although the timings are almost frame perfect.

OllieBomb6 and Just Godzilla with Internet Access I’m pretty sure vectoring (smo-speedrun.fandom.com/wiki/Vectoring ) makes it easier.
I always get 6/5 health in the bowser fight. Because OF THAT GOD DAMN FIRE ATTACK.

You don’t need to do the moving platforms in the darker side!
I mean, I did the Knuclotec rematch damageless, as well as darker side invisible if that counts for anything.
Seems super cool though I gotta admit .

Darker side is easy no damage if you know your skips and can do the lava bubble section well

You can clip through any wall. Some are easier than others
This vid needs more recognition
1:11 Darker side is way easier to do damageless than bosses. Most sections could be skipped by exploits.
The cascade island un the sky is definitely the hardest one

the hardest balloon i was able to hide was in the tree on that far away platform that you get to by the room with a lot of people.you have to cappy roll jump, homing, and cappy double dive.it took me 50 tries.its located in metro kingdom.
You can just roll across to get there???? There's nothing else needed, you can even long jump but that's not fast
Should've hid it where the moon "Breakdown Road: Final Challenge!" was in Darkside.
Mario Odyssey but every time you get a moon you do one push up.

Mine is 26.94
I beat the whole game using that rule the whole time(not a piece of cake trust me.)

Yeah and thats not the easiest thing to do, at some points you don´t even know if you are gonna get a claim until its too late...
yeah very true a good tip is to have the video under scheduled for awhile so atleast the major companies who may own the content will claim it so youll know if something is wrong

you can schedule videos for a later release so they are technically "private" and in that time the youtube bots or whatever will claim your video if it finds anything

I don't think this person understands what a speedrun is. Speedrunners speedrun the game to form competition. Theres this place. It's called speedrun.com. You do runs, and then you submit them. speedrun.com/smo and speedrun.com/smoce are the odyssey leaderboards.
