I'm still slowly reading my On Track...Tool book, I'm about 2/3 of the way through and I love it! That Star Trek book you showed was a bit of a surprise, I would love to read that one, as I am a huge fan of the show!
That was great! Hoping to read that Tommy James book someday. I picked up a similar book recently about Bobby Fuller’s murder by the mob. Nowdays I tend to mainly read books on guitars…Geddy Lee’s Big, Beautiful Book of Bass is pretty much one of the best. John Entwistle’s Bass Culture is also quite good, but there are a lot of guitars in it, not just basses. Growing up I had a huge music library, a lot of those books are in storage at the moment.
As far as Beatles-related books go, Beatles Gear, The Ultimate Edition by Andy Babiuk has incredible photos and information about the Beatles instruments & their other recording gear. Revolution in the Head by Ian McDonald will blow people's minds with information how the Fabs wrote their songs.
Let us know when you have a garage sale!I like used books for Beatle biogs. On tracks does look a cool series. ( Ty for the Luner Notes/ Beefheart rec, cuz my brother is a huge fan: I see a gift in his future).
A few recommendations from my bookshelf: Mark Lewisohn: The Complete Beatles Chronicle Mark Lewisohn: All These Years, Volume 1: Tune In. Rob Sheffield: Dreaming the Beatles Mario Giammetti: Genesis - 1967-1975: The Peter Gabriel Years Alfredo Marziano and Luca Perasi: Peter Gabriel - The Rhythm Has My soul Graeme Thomson: Small Hours - The Long Night Of John Martyn
Wow!,you freaked me out there for a second Larry with that close up and any book on me and my music would bore you to death,I shook my car keys on that one!,exciting stuff eh? and I think you should write a book on music yourself Larry, you know a lot about music and you really know your stuff and it could come with an introduction from Mollie!,you could call it Larry Graves,The Canadian Studmuffin Let's Loose! (a music review to grind your teeth to!),I'm sure it would be a bestseller, get it done Larry! Bob
If you're really into collecting books on the Beach Boys, a couple of good ones are Paul Williams "Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys - How Deep is the Ocean" and Timothy White's "The Nearest Faraway Place." Both good. Talking of William Shatner, have you ever heard his Xmas album Shatner Claus? If you haven't, you're in for a treat.😂 Arguably, the greatest Xmas album ever!

My Zappa related book from this year was Moon Unit’s memoir, ‘Earth to Moon’ - very enjoyable.
Good video Larry!

And Party Every Day by Larry Harris is my favourite music industry book. The story of Casablanca records. It's in print.
There is a movie about this, drama, not a docu. It's in the critics choice catalog.
Dream Brother - The story of Jeff Buckley & his father Tim is my favourite book about musical artists.
