    Just got a 2024 Tacoma 2 wheel drive, I feel bad about not getting the 4x4 but it’s almost 5k more here in Texas. Then I see videos like this and it makes me glad that I can still adventure in my truck!

    Rock sliders will protect your sills if you high-center and drag it over or get close to a rock. You should be able to air those KO2s down to 20, but you need to be able to air them up again before returning to the road. since your are 2WD, you might think about some traction boards just in case. Good video.

    Mine is an off-road 2wd with rear lockers. I put on a steel bumper with a winch and I'm waiting for my sliders to come in. Later I will do a suspension upgrade and tires. Money is slow to come, but trickling in, so little by little. Just bc it's a 2wd doesn't mean you have to go with no protection or recovery options. If anything, that's when you really need it! Keep 'em coming!

      why didn't you just get a 4wd tacoma if you were gonna spend all that money in aftermarket parts? you could've gotten a 4wd SR5 and then saved up for lockers.

    • @TheUnrestricted
      @TheUnrestricted  2 года назад +3

      Mods I would get on any truck so I would spend the money either way, I also live in SoCal so I wouldn’t need the 4x4 for normal use unless going off road which is rare

    • @darthr01g41
      @darthr01g41 2 года назад +3

      @@jonmark11 1st: availability. 2nd: I never go off-roading, just occasionally camping. Why spend the extra $ for something I never use or need. The sliders and the winch are for protection and utility. Something anyone should get regardless. But if I had the money, I'd probably have gotten a 4x4 just because it's a "luxury" I may or may not want to try. Meh, maybe not...

    I just can't imagine this. Your truck looks like a rock, but it is 2WD. Lock the rear all you want. Why would you tweak a 2WD? With the truck and the mods, you should just buy a 4WD. I can't imagine buying such a truck, let alone modifying it to look like a 4WD. Same money. Wow...I don't get it.
