I loathe the idea so much of a mesmer getting rifle. Mesmers got greatsword & staff for 1.2k range already now they're adding one & a rifle at that. I would rather get interested in a shortbow mesmer. Or they could've just made scepter dual wield.
Will we see 8 rifle mesmers in a zerg, creating portals and blowing up the middle?! Or will we see mesmers deciding to troll their allies? WE shall see Its worth noting that the portal actually takes your ally to YOUR location. So probably won't be able to take your own.

It also is a one time use. So only one person gets to use it. It isnt nearly as useful as a normal portal. So, no, this WONT break WvW zergs.

Would be better to port an enemy a distance from you. Nice if you could do it over lava but could be limited to solid ground.

SO am I! Currently PvPing on my mesmer in anticipation.
Really hoping the basic attack applies barrier (or heals) an ally. And that we can put clones ON ALLIES to provide constant support.
Now I can start spamming in map chat on a mesmer... "How do I get a portal gun???"
one way port maybe means only port out not in...
This weapon makes me hyped for leveling a mesmer. Looks like a lot of fun.
