DID early rope drop at Hollywood Studio's Help Walt Disney World - Florida Holiday Aug 2023 Day 11

Hi everyone and welcome to our channel. Join us - Paul, Vicky & Ella on our magical Florida journey on Day 11 as we have an amazing day
So we started the day early with an amazing plan to take advantage of the ability to rope drop Hollywood Studios (as we are staying in a Disney Resort, you get the early entry ahead of most of the crowds) we jumped on the Skyliner and headed over there. We made our way over to Galaxy's edge and go straight to Rise of the Resistance, only to find that it was down for technical problems, and that this had also been the case since yesterday. As with any holiday and plans, you sometimes need to re-plan and adapt to the situation. Our plan was to do Micky & Minnie Runaway railway next, so we quickly turned and headed for that, which was a good plan until we heard Slinky Dog was also down, which meant nearly the whole park was now headed to Micky & Minnie..... With little else open this made the queue very long, and we had little choice but to just wait in line, which was about an hour, so not too bad.
Rise of the resistance remained down for the whole time we were there so we just had a nice mooch around and chill out day in the park.
We later headed back to the resort and had a nice cool dip in the pool and then headed out for dinner.
I had been keen to find a good traditional American style BBQ restaurant and we did some research before coming out and we found some very good reviews for Sonny's BBQ, it was a bit of a drive but that's why we hired the car. So we headed over to Sonny's BBQ on Orange Blossom Trial. The food was really good, although wasn't as keen for it as i was, but all was very good and a good price too. I would say its worth a look if you are in the area.
