  • The biggest reasons for fussy eating dogs:
    1. Unnatural boring and smelly food
    2. Too many meals per day and too much food
Feed my recipes, once a day and don't replace to the meals. Do not do it!

Yeah this is pretty much what pushed my decision to switch to raw. My dog is a primitive breed, and incredibly fussy. He hates pretty much any kibble you try to give him, but will devour raw with no question. We struggled for so long with trying to get him to eat ANYTHING but each kibble he would eat for a while and then give up, and we came down to the decision that it was the kibble and there was no way we were going to get him to eat it. Right now we're doing premade raw, but hopefully your videos can help us make our own in the future. Thank you for being so informative and easy to access.

I've fed my dogs raw before with great luck. My current girl just turns her nose up at it. Trying to find something good for her.

@@judiecollins-si7sc some dogs are like this. My dog will turn his nose up depending on the protein. Hes currently very into beef as the base protien so thats what we go with. He gets far pickier with things like lamb and duck

I had this same trouble when I got my puppy, this was when I was switching her over to homemade.
Apparently she already knew I was once a chef so decided she wasn't going to eat the food anymore that her breeder raised her on (commercial).🤣
      Girl's got standards.

I try to feed my dog raw but im scared if he start being aggressive. We have chickens and ducks running around in our backyard. Do you guys think he will devour them cause he think its his food?

    • @rustyhowe3907
      @rustyhowe3907 Год назад +1

@@bosoudang Not something to worry about in the slightest, if he's good with your other animals now then nothing will change with switching him over, plus raw is what he's *supposed* to eat, now how do you think we kept dogs and livestock together for literally 1000's of years without commercial food?
It's very sad this old wives' tale still exists in this day and age.

Hi there thanks for your help and advice.
I really need your help please . I have a pregnant dog of 11 pounds , she is refusing to eat most of the time and I have tried most things to get her to eat , she has always been a fussy eater but now at 6 weeks pregnant she so fussy . This is her first time and only time she will be pregnant ever and I want to do my very best for her. I have cooked some of your meals for her not added everything you put in as she prefers most of her bland but she does seem to like liver and heart and chicken the best but not together, she hates eggs even when disguised in her food she can smell it I believe and walks away from it . Anyway any tips to help me would be great as I can’t leave her without food being 6 weeks pregnant and this is when she has become the most fussy I have ever known her , I am trying to give her 3,4 small meals a day and the smaller the better as she’s never been a pig so to speak .. any advice would so much appreciated . Thanks so much .

I have a picky eater but she likes eggs. I currently feed her one egg daily in the morning and a meal in the evening. Is one egg daily too much for a dog? She is 9months old.

My puppy has a supposed texture issue according to the vet which is why no matter how hard they tried she refused commercial feed.
Funny little thing about that; she's not fussy whenever I make a meal for her or even give her some kind of ingredient to chomp on, she'd rather eat the cat litter💩than commercial.🤣

At lot of the commercial dog foods have so much garbage ingredients and chemicals that it is likely that many if not most dogs get a tummy ache after eating. So, an intelligent little dog hesitating to eat the garbage is not so much a dog being "fussy" as a dog trying to tell you something. Listen.

My tiny 7 pound toy breed cannot eat only once per day! There will be bile build up duecto lack of food and she will vomit. This is dangerous. She eats 2x per day. Breakfast and dinner. Works perfectly. Please consult a vet before doing this.
