The fragments have to be equipped in the same order! That's were I was tripping up. I had the same fragments, but never knew they also had to be equipped in the same order.

That info around 5:30-6:30 mins is absolutely critical to make this work.

Good starting point to make sure you don't screw things up is to set up your subclass and then save 2 loadouts, then just switch everything but the subclass on one of them. Guaranteed you won't lose any energy

Quik tip if you die and you rallied with 3x reserves then switched chest peices, you can switch back to your reserve chest before you respawn and you will spawn back with your 3x reserves ammo

That's nuts that the different order of fragments wipes your energy. I've been doing loadout swaps since they first gave us the ability, and had no idea. I could see that happening when rewriting loadouts quickly or something

Imagine having loadouts in D1. Would need a miracle to load one. Remember the times to pop a heavy synth. Could take minutes do it.

Found this video trying to discover ways to quickly swap loadouts. I have a 3 heavy handed liar's handshake build that generates orbs on heavy kills every time and still hunt loads cayde's retribution from the orbs generated. Any time I want to use the golden gun I have to swap to celestial nighthawk and it gets kind of tiresome. I didn't realize you could open the tab with loadouts by pressing the arrow key, so thanks for inadvertently teaching me that. Great video too!

I do this with my karnstein armlet warlock. So good for survival but useless for damage phases. Switch to my dawn chorus loadout with dragon breath

What exactly are the rules for weapon swapping? I see solo duo raids swap from primarys to specials and utility heaviy weapons to dps and be fine but when i do it i lose all my ammo? Is there a trick to that?

I figured out that even if only your dodge or jump is whatever is different in your subclass loadouts, popping a celestial GG and swapping to Lucky Pants will take away your GG, and you won’t be able to shoot it. It’s really dumb, but everything has to be exactly the same.

Super yes (you lose everything). Other abilities if you change them, you lose only the charge for the changed ability. Keep in mind

Correction, when you respawn bungie screws you out of having heavy ammo. Who else has found this out? 😏

If you rally on reserves and die, you will respawn with those reserves only if you respawn with reserve mods also equiped. That is the only way what you're saying is true. Assumming you're not also switching heavy weapon

Loadout swapping is bad gameplay. Seriously who finds it fun switching gear mid fight to be optimal? If it was an intended game mechanic they should let us macro weapon swaps and etc.
I know its just my opinion but opening your menu and adjusting equipment is the worst type of meta and i hope they do something to address it at some point like they do in some areas of the game (locked loadouts/reset your abilities if you swap, etc)
