Poplar is an underrated body wood. It's often thought of a poor-man's alder, but from my experience it's tonally closer to mahogany, and complements high-output ceramics quite well.
I have one of the original JS11 Dinky guitars black with Basswood body and Chrome hardware which I prefer! It's a good Student guitar, good for learning and practice , and backup guitar. I like it a lot so I've put a lot of hours on it.
I love versitile your review is. You dial in some nice tones. Most creators would just crank up gain to 10 and play deathcore or have a clean tone and play the most mid blues chords. You have a good variety and actually know what you are doing. Good shit mane

These cheaper Jackson JS series guitars are pretty nice, at least Dinky models, BUT did anyone notice that, he use the tremolo only at the end and just a little. These guitars go out of tune very easily if you use tremolo. Don't know yet if it's nut or the tremolo bridge itself that does that, but tuning stability is the biggest problem of these guitars. Usually nut is the reason on cheaper guitars because strings can get stuck a little. I have JS22 and i am very happy to it overall. One way to get it stay in tune is to block the trem bridge, then it stays in tune well (i have test it).
hell yeah. ive got a js 11 reverse head. super nice necks. graphite reinforced. jumbo frets. you can get around fast on that neck. also super ergonomic bodies and hot pickups. best bang for buck, ibanez too
@@iman8232 yes it's good, if they have a black one definitely get that it's rarer than the white one. I like mine because it sounds and feels well. Only one string has come off so far and one has been coming out of its spot in the bridge but If you use pencil it should fix it.

Many years back I owned a 1998 Squier Double Fat Stratocaster Double Fat means two humbucking pickups I played it a lot but The pickups were weak for humbuckers and the polar body had very little sustain. The JS11 humbuckers are high output better for Hard Rock and Metal. By the way I play Classic Rock!

@@ididzy mine had the same issue, whenever you get a new guitar straight from the factory it's mandatory that you get it to a specialist for a first setup, if you can't do it yourself of course.So yea it just needs a few adjustments, nothing wrong with it
I musta gotta bad one cause the two point tremolo pegs came loose, the frets were pointy sharp and the neck was outta of whack... Put a little work into it and now it's one of my Fav guitars... 🤘🏿🎸🤘🏿
Yeah, Floyd Roses are only good for recording and live performance IMO. Mostly I'm just sitting around practicing and don't use a lot of trem so a Floyd is pointless. The tension system means you have to reset all the nuts and shit every time if a string breaks and I hate messing with it.

Its OK. Has a small fretboard 😂 overall is good for beginners. I had to give it away unfortunately because since I'm just a bassist is hard for me to get from bass to guitar and vice versa
What amp are you using because this is a cheap guitar but quality made but I still think there is an expensive tube amp that just elevates this guitar here.
Well, all demos from a guitar shop wd probably use a better then average amps and pedals that elevates the sound of ANY guitars that they promo. That said... I bought this exact guitar due to this video... Ahahahhahaah
The GRX70QA just has a nicer finish its really up to personal preference but they both cost more than the Jackson JS11. They both really would sound the same through distortion or overdrive. I would get the Jackson because of the simplicity of the design but its up to you.
I got both. And and as that dude says, the Jackson guitar is a whole lotta guitar for a few bucks! Squier can be good but Jackson js11 is just a whole new level Dude!
