And if there are people complaining about, there’s not enough female characters in this game don’t gender, slop classic characters like the cyborgs. NRS is doing some Disney nonsense. with the cage match movie releasing last year it would’ve been the perfect opportunity to have the entire sisterhood of shadow in this game.. especially my personal favorite Okayama her design cage match was amazing. Also on top of the cyborgs being gender swapped I don’t like the fact they put on their armor like they are Iron Man.
Okay, that Pray Mantis Animality scene is some pretty Scary s**t, it almost reminds me of that 1 Episode from "Superjail" where all Prisoners shrink to small sizes into a Globe of Giant Monster Insects.
Havik being this huge of a menace was much needed. They made us wait and wait and gave us the disappointing default Havik from liu kang’s new era. But finally gave us the real Havik. Hype shit
Haviks motive/presence is cool… his voice actor is not. He’s too edge lord, not enough lor of chaos. It’s like Lord raiden vs Champion raiden. Titan Havik should have a more power, commanding, unbothered voice. It’s crazy that is DECEPTION voice, from a million years ago was more fitting. The lord of chaos should not be angry. He should be calm in the presence of chaos. The screaming and shouting is too predictable, not chaotic at all.
T-1000 is the only guest character I am interested in of the 3 we got although obviously gonna try all the characters. I was definitely against Ghostface being in this game because he is not a fighter. He spends half the movies getting his ass beat by damsels in distress before using the element of surprise to kill. The character works for Dead by Daylight but not in a fighting game in my opinion. Maybe they will surprise me though and the character is fun to play. I am sure he will be but not without steering away from the source material.

Mortal Kombat used to be a fantasy. ONCE. But now you see the death of escapism. Even before Mortal Kombat 11's Wakanda Jax ending "I ain't waiting for people to get Woke not when I have the power to speed things up". There are tell tale signs of Nether Realm Studios are in bed with the likes of Sweet Baby Inc. Cast your mind back to Shujinko exploring the different realms. It felt fantasy other worldly. Now Edenia is just some random Asian dynasty. Tanya used to be otherworldly but is now a Wakandan DEI tickbox. With all the female characters being a slightly different version of: Strong Independent Woman that don't need a man. Similar to how the original Ninja was just a color swap of each other. Red was Ermac - Yellow was Scorpion - Blue Was Sub Zero - Green was reptile - Purple was Rain - Black was Noob Saibot - Brown was Tremor and so on. I bet without a quick google search those reading this comment will not even know who Ironheart is. She done so bad in the comics that I won't blame anybody. Yet Ironheart is female Sektor. You see this trend of girl versions of male characters is boring and does not work. In the Blade movie they want to make a female lead - Furiosa was the focus of the Furiousa movie not Mad Max - Masters of the Universe was all about Teela and Evil Lynn - Kenobi show was all about kid Leia and Reva - There is even recently the female Victor Freeze in Su1c1de Squad kills the Justice league (that nobody plays). On and on and on. Mortal Kombat 9's Skarlet was a close thing to an actual kunoichi or female ninja. Yet another one of Shang Tsung's masterpiece made from the blood of defeated warriors. In Mortal Kombat the franchise that created cause of the ESRB ratings. Fandom does not have Equity and never will. Equity is equality of outcome. But they had to "adapt it for modern audiences" which means casting aside your actual audience. Frost of Mortal Kombat 11 was a failed version of Cyber Sub Zero. Which was a failed addition to the cyber lin kuei. Yet this multi verse of terrible writing depicts the Cyber Lin Kuei as a mere power suit to be worn and not the cyberisation of people is a spit in the face of the story and legacy that came before it. Now you have Wakanda female Wakandan Cyrax. It just reduces Cyrax to the color of his skin. Cyrax was not "the black Ninja" he was Lin Kuei. Yet the very people that champion DEI and ESG are the very ones that reduces people to skin color and orientation. There is nothing fantasy about Mortal Kombat anymore. Just a Woke reimagination of it.

@@MikeXeno365 Nobody did but obviously the writers and Ed Boon wanted to make the New Era of Mortal Kombat have familiarity but also radical differences with the previous timeline. Gender swapping is an easy distinction. Listen bro Sektor and Cyrax historically were not really that established either. I liked in MK9 you saw the difference where Sektor was hell bent on the cyber initiative and Cyrax was completely against it. That was the real extent of their characters and the first kind of any depth they had. People generally like Cyrax and Sektor because they looked cool and had cool moves. So gender swapping them in this timeline has little to no effect on me. I am just glad we are getting them. Its also interesting that they are using cyber armor and were not fully converted. Also a distinct difference.
Not a big fan of the gender-swapping unless it's to introduce a new character. If they want more female characters, then just bring back some old fan favorites and have them impact the story. And somehow, I still see Noob getting washed.
Animalities are back. T-1000, Ghostface and Conan the Barbarian are special guest characters and Havik should have been the the ultimate villain from Mortal Kombat 1.

My fear was that Hanzo would be Noob I’m glad they didn’t do that I would be super tight 🤬. I’m glad he’s true the form it’s interesting that he’s a chaos being now instead of the usual netherealm shadow spawn. Not sure about his outfit with the green blood or whatever that is, and they got rid of the Dr. Claw voice.

Man I'm not feeling this pack at all with the exception of Noob and Ghostface. Like I dunno the overuse of guest characters in these DLC packs are starting to drain on me a little and just feels like NRS are being forced by WB to put these guys in (T-1000 because of the new Netflix show and Conan because?....Arnold?)
I have no problem with the guest characters, but the MK characters that they chose for Kombat Pack 2 was a lazy decision. I mean why they chose 3 MK ninjas? Also, why the hell will they bother genderswapping Cyrax and Sektor into females? If they wanted to genderswap the Lin Kuei cyborgs, it should have been Hydro. Aside from Cyrax and Sektor, why Noob Saibot is here? I thought they would have saved him for sequel or a theeequel. Well, Kombat Pack 2 should have included Jade, Kai, Shujinko (the young one), Harley Quinn, Micheal Myers (Halloween) or Ghostface (Scream) and Doomguy (Doom). If they included these characters I mentioned for Kombat Pack 2, it would have been much better. Anyway, I'm glad that Animalities are coming back.

They gender swapped Cyrax and Sektor instead of just bring them back like normal or even just making a brand new character. Sekors gameplay just looks like Blue Beetle from Injustice, Noobs character design isn't very good, Ghostface was the worse choice possible. Just a clumsy dude with a knife, T-1000 is dumb since we got Terminator in the last game and I wouldn't be as annoyed if they put T-1000 in the game with Terminator, Conan is cool but it's like Gen X nostalgia. They could've tried to get cool characters that fit in the universe like Akuma or Kazuya. If they wanted female characters in the game they could've made an all new character for the cyborgs, and bring back Jade. Terrible line up.

Similar to how the original Ninja was just a color swap of each other. Red was Ermac - Yellow was Scorpion - Blue Was Sub Zero - Green was reptile - Purple was Rain - Black was Noob Saibot - Brown was Tremor and so on.
I bet without a quick google search those reading this comment will not even know who Ironheart is. She done so bad in the comics that I won't blame anybody. Yet Ironheart is female Sektor.
You see this trend of girl versions of male characters is boring and does not work. In the Blade movie they want to make a female lead - Furiosa was the focus of the Furiousa movie not Mad Max - Masters of the Universe was all about Teela and Evil Lynn - Kenobi show was all about kid Leia and Reva - There is even recently the female Victor Freeze in Su1c1de Squad kills the Justice league (that nobody plays).
On and on and on. Mortal Kombat 9's Skarlet was a close thing to an actual kunoichi or female ninja. Yet another one of Shang Tsung's masterpiece made from the blood of defeated warriors. In Mortal Kombat the franchise that created cause of the ESRB ratings.
Fandom does not have Equity and never will. Equity is equality of outcome.
But they had to "adapt it for modern audiences" which means casting aside your actual audience.
Frost of Mortal Kombat 11 was a failed version of Cyber Sub Zero. Which was a failed addition to the cyber lin kuei.
Yet this multi verse of terrible writing depicts the Cyber Lin Kuei as a mere power suit to be worn and not the cyberisation of people is a spit in the face of the story and legacy that came before it.
Now you have Wakanda female Wakandan Cyrax. It just reduces Cyrax to the color of his skin. Cyrax was not "the black Ninja" he was Lin Kuei.
Yet the very people that champion DEI and ESG are the very ones that reduces people to skin color and orientation.
There is nothing fantasy about Mortal Kombat anymore. Just a Woke reimagination of it.

@@MikeXeno365 Nobody did but obviously the writers and Ed Boon wanted to make the New Era of Mortal Kombat have familiarity but also radical differences with the previous timeline. Gender swapping is an easy distinction. Listen bro Sektor and Cyrax historically were not really that established either. I liked in MK9 you saw the difference where Sektor was hell bent on the cyber initiative and Cyrax was completely against it. That was the real extent of their characters and the first kind of any depth they had. People generally like Cyrax and Sektor because they looked cool and had cool moves. So gender swapping them in this timeline has little to no effect on me. I am just glad we are getting them. Its also interesting that they are using cyber armor and were not fully converted. Also a distinct difference.

Not a big fan of the gender-swapping unless it's to introduce a new character. If they want more female characters, then just bring back some old fan favorites and have them impact the story. And somehow, I still see Noob getting washed.
Animalities are back. T-1000, Ghostface and Conan the Barbarian are special guest characters and Havik should have been the the ultimate villain from Mortal Kombat 1.

I am looking forward to it but what I don’t like is the female cyber ninjas. It’s like why? If you wanted a female ninja why not frost??? Wasn’t she literally a female cyber ninja in the last game? Idk man…that’s the only thing holding me back from fully enjoying this. Heart hurts man.

Im excited to see Havik actually being a threat and getting wins under his belt along with Noob Saibot. Crazy how it took us this long for him to get some wins.

My fear was that Hanzo would be Noob I’m glad they didn’t do that I would be super tight 🤬. I’m glad he’s true the form it’s interesting that he’s a chaos being now instead of the usual netherealm shadow spawn. Like I dunno the overuse of guest characters in these DLC packs are starting to drain on me a little and just feels like NRS are being forced by WB to put these guys in (T-1000 because of the new Netflix show and Conan because?....Arnold?)

I have no problem with the guest characters, but the MK characters that they chose for Kombat Pack 2 was a lazy decision. I mean why they chose 3 MK ninjas? Also, why the hell will they bother genderswapping Cyrax and Sektor into females? If they wanted to genderswap the Lin Kuei cyborgs, it should have been Hydro.
Aside from Cyrax and Sektor, why Noob Saibot is here? I thought they would have saved him for sequel or a theeequel.
Well, Kombat Pack 2 should have included Jade, Kai, Shujinko (the young one), Harley Quinn, Micheal Myers (Halloween) or Ghostface (Scream) and Doomguy (Doom). If they included these characters I mentioned for Kombat Pack 2, it would have been much better. Anyway, I'm glad that Animalities are coming back.

Not gonna lie to myself. I've been an MK fan since MK3 and the Tekken story DLC looked more exciting than this.

They gender swapped Cyrax and Sektor instead of just bring them back like normal or even just making a brand new character. Sekors gameplay just looks like Blue Beetle from Injustice, Noobs character design isn't very good, Ghostface was the worse choice possible. Just a clumsy dude with a knife, T-1000 is dumb since we got Terminator in the last game and I wouldn't be as annoyed if they put T-1000 in the game with Terminator, Conan is cool but it's like Gen X nostalgia. They could've tried to get cool characters that fit in the universe like Akuma or Kazuya. If they wanted female characters in the game they could've made an all new character for the cyborgs, and bring back Jade. Terrible line up.
